Six kin burst for the win. If you are let's say not a spray and prey heavy then you will melt face and the rest with the burst . Most medium suits will perish in one burst at close range and most heavy in 2 or 3 bursts.

Do you guys/gals use the burst variant in FW/PC matches, or is it too risky to use with friendly fire turned on?

Caldari heavy who uses the six kin here,
Any suit with less than 1000 EHP prepare to be oneshoted ahahah!
Aim at an enemies shoulders, most rounds will hit, many will be headshots, and you will easily deal out over 1000 damage per burst if done properly.... And each burst lasts ~1/2 a second.
Nearly 2000 effective dps ftw!

ok, just had a match, and what is possibly it's best feature came out: SO MUCH PHYSICS! people do flips and cartwheels when they die early in the burst, and I friggin' bounced a scout doing his little "I'm a little shotgun fairy!" dance with a friendly when firing from a rooftop.

I don't always run heavy but when i do i use the Burst HMG.

I know, full 10% more damage, longer range, less overheat, awesome black finish... But 77k isk a piece 
But oh so worth it
