I'll keep this short, as color blind has been requested several times before and just ignored. I'll make a short list of ways being color blind slows me down personally.
Blue, green greys, and light browns are basically one color. White blends in easily with these colors. This is most every background, building and suits primary colors. This means most everything blends in with everything else for me.
Also, Although I can squad lead, finding my teammates icons amongst the others is a task is patience. Team and squads colors are the same for me.
I think I have seen a cloak shimmer once, and now have twice been able to make out the actual outline of scouts dancing in my face.
Through all of this, I still have fun, and enjoy the challenge, especially going against a cloaked player. It is very rewarding for me to win 1 vs 1 against most players due to my natural hightened situational awareness. My saving grace is detecting movement with the and those glorious red sights that I can actually see.

If you are color blind, please share your gaming experience in Dust, and how your condition affects your gameplay. Maybe we can <3 CCP into at least looking into coming up with a solution.

Would be interesting if you could personalize color schemes. You know, like you could on Eve 8 years ago. |

Allowing the ability to change the colors independently of each other is a good start for color blind folks.

This would be a good feature to add in settings. It would probably be best to give "color bling mode" a whole new set of mini map icons and radar icons to distinguisf friendly troops from enemy and to identify squadmates.

They might consider it when the game is working.
Although designing for something in advance is normally the simpler solution it does not appear to be CCP/Shanghais forte.
And so it goes.

After some testing with my corp mate, I have determined that I see a cloaked scout when he reaches 0m. Full sprint at about 2-3m. In the shadows, I do see very well though.

I agree. I didn't notice an issue until cloaking became a thing. It seems I am spotted much easier than I can spot a cloaked scout, and I do wonder whether it has to do with being color blind.
