A knife is a knife is ******* stupid. Many militaries currently use a variety of knifes, some use long some use combat. Knifes have a very useful and tactical role throughout history. Whether it be adding it to the end of a weapon in the trenches, or using the knife to cut through thick jungle, or having a knife for thrusting or swiping. Knifes are very very different between countries, if you spent ten minutes and looked into it before you opened your ******* mouth maybe you wouldn't sound so stupid.
Now as we see this game is a futuristic game with plasma and energy and other "advanced tech" wouldn't you think the differences seen currently in military technology could result in different races carrying different knife In the future?! |

Someone is cranky today. Yes, different styles of knives are used across the world and serve a different purpose. However, how would a "kukri" differ from a "Ka-Bar" in game? You don't use it to cut rope, dig a hole, or as an eating utensil; it exists to kill people in melee range. Give Amarr a power glove puncher and it still kills people at melee range. It is just a reskinned weapon with a different tree.
I don't even know what the **** that lore or EVE **** is. I could care less what they are called, or how they are used in lore. Adding race weapons only makes sense to dust current model. Its a video game, make that **** up.
The point is that knifes are different, you can argue knifes kill people in melee range when by your logic guns kill people in gun range. But there are variant of guns, knifes, nades, land mines, etc etc etc. why not make those differences based on racial lines for dust video game, fictional, purposes.
Sure, if you want to give Amarr a Halo type knife with slightly more range, its fine. Whatever. The point is you can't argue that knifes are knifes when clearly different militaries use different knifes. I can only assume this fictional game would do the same, have knifes based on race, especially since everything else is.
I cannot see how racial NK are a bad idea. So just like when you go to the movies, why not suspend your belief.
