You are indeed fitting it improperly.
If you're going to fit extenders, fit complex. Otherwise fit damage mods. It's one of the only suits you can justify it on. |

Ignore this comment. That's about the worst thing you can do.
If you were going to do that, you would be going Gal Sent because it can do the rushdown heavy much better with its slot allocation and base stats. Min commando can't make it work to comparable levels.
Minimando has three important roles. Masshole camper on point defense is one of them. mid-range support skirmisher is another. You don't want to be at the front if you can avoid it, but if the enemies fire is being drawn to someone closer you can dish out more damage than they can.
The other role is siege breaker, which is the opposite of point defender. Minimando is just about the only thing that can separate a pack of fatmen from their logis through use of mass driver splash, so get to elevation and do it right. |

Enhanced damage mods?
What the hell are you guys smoking? Complex. Always complex.
If you can't run complex you shouldn't even be running the suit. |

If you can't run complex you shouldn't even be running the suit. really??? 1% makes that big of a difference for all those resources? Pre 1.8 yes - post I think not
It's closer to 1.9%, actually, when you take in the stacking penalty
7.6% versus 9.5%. After 6 MD volleys you'll only be looking at around a 26 damage difference (this is ignoring proficiency, which actually makes the difference even greater), but that can mean the difference between life or death when someone is being sieged in a cargo hub.
Furthermore, it comes down to your role. As a mid-range skirmisher you shouldn't be the first target, therefore defenses are not your primary concern. Squeezing out every inch of offense is.
As a high-ground bombardment guy, you shouldn't be taking much damage anyway so you have literally no excuse not to go full damage. If someone dedicates enough resources to send a dropship up after you, then they are going to come with enough firepower to get you off of the highground regardless of how well you tank your suit. This renders defense useless yet again.
The environment is your shield, not your suit. If you're unwilling to maximize the role your suit is exemplary in, you shouldn't be running that suit. You're basically just wasting a team slot and letting everybody else down. |

That's a bit extreme of a viewpoint. So no.
It's not extreme at all. This is a black-and-white issue.
A suit is good for a specific thing, and it is subpar in other things. You either use it for what it's good at, or you pick something better.
Attitudes like yours are why the majority of teams in PC are garbage. |

No, people should play what wins. The goal of a competitive game is to try to win, not to have fun. Fun is merely a happy byproduct you get from the process. If you don't have fun trying to win, you shouldn't be playing competitive games at all. You're wasting everybody elses time that are associated with the game in question.
People who claim they play to have fun are confused, horrible people in the same sect as those who talk loudly at the theater with their group of equally ignorant friends. If its the pretty colors on your screen that generate fun (you know, since clearly winning isnt a part of it) I recommend watching movies at home. They too have pretty colors, and some of them even have unicorns and friendship. Best of all, you won't be disrupting other people who actually know the purpose behind competitive gaming.

That is also your fault. Were you less of a carebear, that situation would not have developed. |
