i'm putting it in general because i feel like more game modes with the current player base is a bad idea.. i'm just curious what you guys think.
the basics -6 vs 6- squad v squad -1 clone per player -can not call in vehicles after the first -very focused maps -primary goal is to slay with hackable objects like supply depots and turrets as well as a flag to capture to win with a time limit. if the time limit is reached the team with more combatants win, so a losing side can capture the flag to win if they'd otherwise lose.
in every match theres 15-30 seconds to setup- ie get into your vehicles and drop with them, buddy up with others, figure out tactics. both sides have this. as well as this, there is no afk timer to kick you out. you have the option to hold spawn as long as necessary to wait for uplinks. i also feel that the bleedout would be exactly where the player died. none of this body sliding down the hill ****.
the maps
a vehicle oriented map and an infantry oriented one.
for the vehicle map actually fly into the map with the bolas's after the selection has been made. 2 bolas's, each carrying one of the 2 vehicles the squads can have. the rest of the troops are inside the bolas's with the option to tab between vehicle seats and bolas. once the bolas reachs the ground it drops off the vehicles and troops and the match has officially begun. if the vehicle is killed that's it, no more.
for the infantry map it could be on an npc ship. one side can be boarding while the other side is on the ship. allow setup and when the missile or ship carrying the boarding mercs hits the ship relays an emergency message and on board mercs can be reanimated in the clone vats or whatever so they both start at the same time. i think on this map mode new, smaller turrets could be added and hacked and placed in actually useful positions. antivehicle weaponry could be used to remove them.
i dunno. i think it'd be cool. sorry about the spelling and ****.. i was planning to make it all nice but ended up getting confused and just posted it as is. let me know your opinions, additions and rage about the blue donut.
also.. i think the salvage rate should be 50% of everything destroyed and that the isk payout should be comparable to pc's or more to promote bringing the really shiny stuff. |
