I like to watch Dust 514 youtube-videos daily. Be it pub games or PC matches. Gimme dat video, yo.
Every public match I've seen, 70-80% of the player base consists of:
Medic
Anti-Armor
Frontline
Medic
Frontline
Sniper
Frontline
and so on.
USE YOUR SUITS, MODULES AND EQUIPMENT, PEOPLE.
It's no wonder you'll get your ass handed to you if you don't want to use better gear but choose to go with STARTER fits just so you don't lose money.
Yeah yeah you kill protobears all the time with your ++ber-skills while in mlt gear. But tbh that's not the truth, is it. The records tell otherwise.
Make the game more enjoyable to yourself by *gasp* changing to ADV - gear every now and then. 
Throw in some proto weapons and you'll have good time. Go even one whole day in your best gear, not caring about your precious ISKIES. Get it back later by going back to your starter fits.

I guess this was coming... I wasn't being arrogant to be honest. Just frustrated.
By watching all kinds of videos this IS the truth. (Oh, and by even playing the game myself lol)
I just don't buy the explanation that so many of the players are new.
And besides I know for a fact (know many players) that many are so stingy with their ISK that they don't run anything above standard gear. That's their right of course but it negates every complaint about others playing with higher gear.
And btw, I only have 1 proto fit made which I rarely use. I save it for special occasions when I'm feeling like indulging myself.
And THEN I go negative ISK-wise.

I used to have a few recordings of matches against some really good players, but I deleted them because my scores were pathetic. What I mean by that is I only get say 15-20 kills instead of 30-40, even if the match was really tough (where both sides were pushing hard)

That is a problem, yes.
It's too bad that you youtubers don't upload the bad games. I actually made a post couple of / few months ago urging tubers to upload those games just for the fun of it.
And I wouldn't say that 15-20 kills is a bad game by any means.

While I agree that the payouts could be bigger, you don't have to go ISK positive in every match. You just need to make sure you're in the black in whatever timeframe you decide. Be it a day, week or a month even.
But yeah about the payouts, there's too big difference between pub games and PC. District owners get all the monies while us pubbies have to grind for them. And now that there's quite literally no business entering the PC, it hurts.
