You know, I think every time I see a new player I am going to criticize them for not running advanced gear that they haven't skilled into and can't skill into yet because it is obviously there fault for not running the gear they don't and can't run. If these people had advanced gear, I am sure they would be running it. And the elite players who are running around in militia gear to make isk aren't complaining about getting protostomped. Also, here's a thought, why don't you start running advanced gear, instead of giving the newer players a much harder time then they should have while playing the game by running your proto gear in your decked out squads.
Apologies if I insulted you in any way, but you sounded very arrogant and completely ignorant to the fact that there are new players in this game.

I guess this was coming... I wasn't being arrogant to be honest. Just frustrated. By watching all kinds of videos this IS the truth. (Oh, and by even playing the game myself lol) I just don't buy the explanation that so many of the players are new. And besides I know for a fact (know many players) that many are so stingy with their ISK that they don't run anything above standard gear. That's their right of course but it negates every complaint about others playing with higher gear. And btw, I only have 1 proto fit made which I rarely use. I save it for special occasions when I'm feeling like indulging myself.

The reason you don't see proto suits in videos is because the only time players get good scores is when the enemy is just a bunch of noobs running mlt fits.
I used to have a few recordings of matches against some really good players, but I deleted them because my scores were pathetic. What I mean by that is I only get say 15-20 kills instead of 30-40, even if the match was really tough (where both sides were pushing hard)
It's almost always the unbalanced matches that players upload.
I really enjoy watching your videos. But what you just said has severely reduced my enjoyment of them.
Why would you delete what might have been a good game just because you didn't do good? This gives all your viewers a false image of you in there heads, and this can lead to their disappointment if they ever play with you.
At least Pyrex constantly emphasizes that he is not a top tier player and that he has bad games every now and then.
Why don't you try uploading a video where you get completely stomped and see how your viewers react. To me it would feel more real and I would enjoy it more. Just an idea...... |
