I havnt played dust for over 8 months now because I got a nice pc and have been playing pc games. By now my aim on console will be utter **** and I will have a hard time spotting targets in 720p but is it worth coming back? Is it still LAV 514 or do people use guns now? Will I get stomped by vets? Will I be behind on sp (had 9mil when stopped playing)?
Dust really was a great game and I loved it to death. Is it still great? |

It's not LAV 514 anymore, it's Tank/Scout/Heavy 514. |

It's better than it was, imo. Still has problems, but better. Of course you'll get stomped by vets. This is Dust. That is what happens. You should have nearly 6M passive SP accrued if you've been gone that long, though, which will go a long way towards catching you up, should you use it wisely. |

Yeah- they've refunded all vehicle SP and all dropsuit command SP.

this build is awesome i've been playing for 22 months by far this has been my favorite build except it's riddled with hard freezes and bad FPS and lag, 3 out of 5 games are not too buggy i guess.
if they ever fix the freezes and bugs i might consider recommending this game but i can't do that and then have their NPE be a hard freeze/fatal error

It's worth checking out for sure; the game has changed a lot since you were playing. You should have a decent amount of passive SP banked up. Don't spend it all right away, get a feel for the changes before committing. I don't expect to ever see another respec so you'll have to live with your decisions.
Post back once you give it a go. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how the game has changed.

Actually I guarantee you'll have a hard time spotting enemies, now you won't see LAV's, actually you won't see anything or anyone, it's now Invisibility 514, you'll swear you're in a game by yourself until a sparkly blue Liberace looking motherf*cker appears behind you and sticks his gayblade deep inside you!!

Let's see... You ran Amarr Assault correct?
Nothing's changed for that-- except you now have a little brother to play with(scout) and te other races have new big brothers.
Your Scr got a 11% nerf in damage. Combat Rifle took a 15% damage nerf and Rail Rifle took a 13% or so dmg nerf.
Dmg mods got halved at proto(5% now) but don't let that discourage you- 5% bonus will determine whether your Scr overheats or not against that Gallente Sentinel stacking 2k HP.
Logis are now specialists at equipment(minmatar is the repping guru, while amarr is the uplink spam)
When you get back on, feel free to join our corp(we merged from Granite Mercenary)

Man this post really, really takes me back. Remember how long ago it was when murder taxing was a real problem? When you'd get killed by some guy driving as slow as possible? Feels like ages ago, but then you look at the dates and it really wasn't that long ago at all. Dust has been updating pretty fast.

Wait for Dust PS3 Beta Testing to end. Buy a PS4 and wait until the game is finally released. |

I do have to say the new suits and guns are pretty amazing and not getting run over every 2 seconds is pretty awsome too. cloak + shotgun was just about the only thing i didnt like...

I would get a cheap militia LAV to get around if I were you.
