Totally inaccurate...not sure where you pulled this information from :) I'm always up for hearing Event suggestions!
OH GOOD THANK GOD!
Please Sabrewing almighty responder of threads.... please steer the current events paradigm away from arbirtrary and arcadey challenges and bring them back to Lore based events with unique rewards and factional choices like Caldari Prime did.
No event since that one has been nearly so well received by the community. Please take this opportunity to bring the narrative of New Eden into the games we play and also make us as players feel a part of New Eden.

Honestly, we would love to run these events more frequently. There is a serious load on the dev team whenever they're made though and we're trying to prioritise things effectively right now. For instance, it shocked me to see just how much work went in to just creating custom sky-boxes, let alone the maps etc!
I can only imagine, but as a player I have to say that is what impressed me the most, that the dev teams went out of their way to make such a change for such and event, and because of that I really appreciated the event. Thankyou CCP for that it was incredible.
However custom skyboxes are not wholly what makes the event what it is. Perhaps a map could display an unique socket lay out that we rarely see, or a slight alterations to terrain or objective location fitting with the lore. Events in their own right could be used to introduce content features as well if something missed release at patch X,Y,or Z you patch the event in and release the content under special circumstances.
Its the small details like that which gets the wider communities appreciation.
Perhaps even depending on our win/losses we could affect the outcome of the plot. I distinctly remember how polarised the community became during the event. Everyone took a side, everyone fought for their chosen faction, everyone looked up when the first spawned in and died because they were staring at the Titan.
And those unique rewards...commemerative dropsuits, very limited edition, they used to be prized vanity items in my stocks....not anymore since the State Protectorate Suit went Orange...... but none the less were symbols of the campaigns we had served in..in their own right.
Thanks for hearing me out though.

There are MANY more important priorities right now. These might be cool to do again eventually (TM) when the core is in place, the playerbase is growing steadily, and its bringing in enough money to expand the staff, and recoup development costs. I think the whole Caldari Prime thing and the Templar stuff was a HUGE misappropriation of development resources at the time. If all of that effort had been spent on core mechanics and NPE, this game might have double (or more) of the current players right now. If we had those numbers, we'd presumably be able to afford a larger team, and would have seen changes happening much faster. I think it was one of the worst blunders by the last EP. Now I love my Templar gear, don't get me wrong, but the whole event was such a waste of resources at the worst possible time.
I'm not suggesting they shift focus to priming events..... all I am suggesting is that perhaps once the game reaches a specific level of developmental stability we consider moving away from the established class, SP, or weapon based challenges and get back to events that make us a players feel a part of the universe we inhabit.

Nothing would make me happier - believe me, we love to run cool events like that too. :)
That's pleasing to hear Sir Sabrewing. Nothing would make me happier and a huge fan of the lore and game than to feel like a person inhabiting New Eden.
As much as most people consider a game to be a game.... I like to consider New Eden an experience, and such kinds of events that tie us to the greater universe serve only to enhance that experience in a manner only you guys are capable of.
