And when I say FA, I mean pretty much just me.
I don't even think it would be close.
I'd wager more, but I'm a poor

Fiddlestaxp wrote:I just think its funny that Traky is calling out DDB for using ringers, when he has been locking up even after the locking profitability fix.
Locking BEFORE fix: Profitability Locking AFTER fix: Scared.
Locking just delayed the inevitable. I doubt for one second that WTF or anyone else thought they'd maintain their districts outside the donut.
At least after PC 2.0 is released there will be a handful of corps with some ISK reserves.
As Cubs has stated any times, locking was a viable and necessary tactic with these mechanics. It certainly is the case when such a large concentration of elite players make up a near monopoly of participation in PC. It's really hard to have these debates without coming off as defeatist or whiny, but it is what it is. My corp doesn't have a sterling reputation and perhaps hasn't always maximized potential, but we are one of the few that's been involved from the beginning to the end of PC. In fact I'd say less than a handful can make that claim.
When the KEQs, Dark Legions, Pro Hic, and ANON type corps stop participating and your left with nothing but elite teams it becomes uber difficulty mode. There's a point where fighting overwhelming disparities in abilities stops becoming chalked up as lessons. It's easy to just quit, but then the long term CCP plan makes it hard to pass on ISK while you can.
Point of the story, WTF came back after a break and got thrown into the World Series day 1. I'd invite any of those within that donut to throw up a middle finger and declare war on the donut for a more personal perspective.
I don't expect a slow clap for this post, but you can't look around and see an environment that screams long term success.

Your analogy is flawed. This is a WAR. And wars are fought on very strategic and administrative levels. They are not fought in he just black and white sense of 2 armies square off and run at each other.
Just because we are not always in every battle, does not mean we are not contributing to the war. Also, how CAN we be in any battles, when no one is attacking us? Or when they DO attack us, they do not field their own 16man team, they bring in a mix matched team who they believe will roll us over. I am sorry that instead of getting steam rolled, which would then give you ammo to say "ooo we just crushed DDB" we ask for ALLIANCE help. THAT is of couse, if we do not have 16 DDB on who want to fight. Last I checked, and correct me if im wrong, the last few fights, defences and attacks DDB has had we fielded our OWN teams...EXCEPT the double timer fights. That is what Alliances are for are they not?
Are there teams out there that can SMASH DDB...of course. Duh. So why LET the enemy claim a victory when they attack us. Why not attack AE. FA, ERA or TP if your teams are so tough, instead, you pick on the little guys of the alliance.
Real life war Analogy for you...to show what DDBs role is in this dust war.
The war in Afghanistan(served 2 tours there) Canada only had 2500-3000 soldiers TOTAL there at any given point. The Americans, 10s of thousands, other allies 10s of thousands. Of Canada's 3000 Soldiers, only about 1000 are combat troops. Of that 1000, 600 are Infantry.
Canada was only ASSIGNED one major task, Kandahar Province. Mainly the Arghandhab and M'Sum Ghar/Mayuand districts for combat troop and Kandahar Airfied for our support troops. In the beginning of the war, until 2009, Canadians were in the most intense combat in the entire country, fought along side many of our allies who were thankfull to have Canadians with them. After the main combat phase, the war shifted gears, and the fighting started taking place in other provinces. And our combat troops started not getting into as many fights...and eventually, none were happening, not because the soldiers didn't want to fight, but because no one was fighting us(district locking phase of dust) So, our country decided to cut back the amount of combat troops we sent on tours, gave up our area of responsibilities to the Americans who had THOUSANDS of troops, and we decided to concentrate on support. Our Role 3 Medical units are famous in Afghanistan, and if you have been their and were wounded, you no doubt had the hands of a Canadian helping you.
SO, the war raged on for a few more years, and Canada didn't have as many combat troops on the front lines, mainly provided support where needed and requested.....SO....using your logic, Canada played no role in the war and has no right to Boast with its allies about victories, or defend their allies when they suffer defeats. Correct? One Team, Many Roles.
So if Molon Labe were able to join the donut, could we talk like we had some major role in taking over MH too?

The Baby Shaker wrote:Up until the patch we didn't have 16 people to field a team for months so we just provided a few ringers and helped in the skies. We weren't going to launch attacks and give our alliance more crap to deal with because our players were mia. We tried fighting a war before with new untested players, FA and RND can attest that those matches didnt go so well for us lol. We really dont like bringing ringers and only do so to fill our ranks or we knew people were going to bring friends. So instead of wasting isk and our alliances time we decided to rebuild, farm lol and wait for our old players to come back to dust.
There core of DDB is still here and shows how strong our loyalty is to eachother (no ho mo) and to the corp. It also goes to show how the big bad RA was/is a great alliance that truly cares about its corps and doesnt abandon them when times get tough. We are greatful to be apart of the alliance and wish we could have helped out more, but those that did gave it their all. One of our pilots lost almost 2bill in one fight and all he said was "whoops, wrong ship " lol. Aside from KEQ, where's your guys old alliances/corps/ceo? Thats right, you left them in the dust and moved on to bigger better things or so you hoped, depending on where you went lol
It's understandable and everyone goes through it. But to hear Roman beat his chest while thumbing his nose at people is pretty embarrassing for you guys.
I've played against you guys back when you were active and you had a damn good team so I'm not trashing you. This current situation in Molden Heath is already a lot to stomach without Roman preaching to everyone that they need to try harder.

Most roles involve looking the other way or giving up. We hung in there as long as we could. We locked districts and tried to pick our fights.
To the DDB dude knocking WTF for locking... drop those tags and get a personal perspective of that donut.

If you were fighting the same A-teams every day, would you not be burnt out after a while? no what burns me out is multiple fights back to back i really don't mind fighting a-teams thats pretty much all i've ever fought in pc on a normal bases i fought imps, hellstorm and PFB when i was in STB then Teamplayers, escrow, FA and so on. this is the first time i've been on the side of the "elite" so to every corp out there bitchin about DNS i say HTFU
Enjoy it, I've never been on that side.
Both times the elite dudes bounced when the going got tough.
