Your analogy is flawed. This is a WAR. And wars are fought on very strategic and administrative levels. They are not fought in he just black and white sense of 2 armies square off and run at each other.
Just because we are not always in every battle, does not mean we are not contributing to the war. Also, how CAN we be in any battles, when no one is attacking us? Or when they DO attack us, they do not field their own 16man team, they bring in a mix matched team who they believe will roll us over. I am sorry that instead of getting steam rolled, which would then give you ammo to say "ooo we just crushed DDB" we ask for ALLIANCE help. THAT is of couse, if we do not have 16 DDB on who want to fight. Last I checked, and correct me if im wrong, the last few fights, defences and attacks DDB has had we fielded our OWN teams...EXCEPT the double timer fights. That is what Alliances are for are they not?
Are there teams out there that can SMASH DDB...of course. Duh. So why LET the enemy claim a victory when they attack us. Why not attack AE. FA, ERA or TP if your teams are so tough, instead, you pick on the little guys of the alliance.
Real life war Analogy for you...to show what DDBs role is in this dust war.
The war in Afghanistan(served 2 tours there) Canada only had 2500-3000 soldiers TOTAL there at any given point. The Americans, 10s of thousands, other allies 10s of thousands. Of Canada's 3000 Soldiers, only about 1000 are combat troops. Of that 1000, 600 are Infantry.
Canada was only ASSIGNED one major task, Kandahar Province. Mainly the Arghandhab and M'Sum Ghar/Mayuand districts for combat troop and Kandahar Airfied for our support troops. In the beginning of the war, until 2009, Canadians were in the most intense combat in the entire country, fought along side many of our allies who were thankfull to have Canadians with them. After the main combat phase, the war shifted gears, and the fighting started taking place in other provinces. And our combat troops started not getting into as many fights...and eventually, none were happening, not because the soldiers didn't want to fight, but because no one was fighting us(district locking phase of dust) So, our country decided to cut back the amount of combat troops we sent on tours, gave up our area of responsibilities to the Americans who had THOUSANDS of troops, and we decided to concentrate on support. Our Role 3 Medical units are famous in Afghanistan, and if you have been their and were wounded, you no doubt had the hands of a Canadian helping you.
SO, the war raged on for a few more years, and Canada didn't have as many combat troops on the front lines, mainly provided support where needed and requested.....SO....using your logic, Canada played no role in the war and has no right to Boast with its allies about victories, or defend their allies when they suffer defeats. Correct? One Team, Many Roles.
So if Molon Labe were able to join the donut, could we talk like we had some major role in taking over MH too?
