Hyper nerfs, (drastic reduction in vital weapon/item stats) leading to a drastically reduced usefulness of an item, should have the SP requirements of that item reduced similarly, and the difference reimbursed, or give the players the choice of having that skill set reset, and their SP into that item reimbursed. |

I would approve of an optional respec any time an item is changed, only on that item ofc.
When your playing dust and your frustrated...if all else fails...turn off the ps3. Works every time.

The only "Hyper Nerf" I'm aware of is the Flaylock Pistol. Although the Swarm Launcher could have a case, losing 33% damage and a massive cut in range, going from something feared to something laughed at.

Yeah, because now people HAVE to use them as a shotgun, instead of them just being better that way.
Your redline sniping has been cut short, and nobody misses it.

And Ass. Dropships roam free. A moderately competent DS pilot is untouchable now. |

Having a range of 300m, still well outside the ranges of any other HAV weapons or infantry AV, while retaining full damage does not make them laughable. Just means no one can sit on a mountain top and fire without fear. HAVs have to get into combat now.

300m is less than the forge gun or swarm launcher. |

It was needed, not only were they pretty insane at a lot of ranges, they also needed to be brought in line with the other pistols
Now you can have the choice between the Ion, Scrambler and Bolt, instead of just having teh scrambler being straight up better than the other ones

Then they nerfed it again at some point, and I didn't notice, because I stopped using them. |

...have you actually tried using any of them?
The bolt pistol does insane damage at range and the scrambler is still a very reliable sidearm

More Range, DPS(ScP is the only exception, barely), RoF, Damage per magazine, easier to use, just as easy to fit...
Unless you are using it as sneaky headshot assassination tool(Knives would be better, anyway) I don't see a reason to use the ScP anymore.

Bullshit. That's not a 'hyper nerf'. A damage modded rail Sica is still my weapon of choice for taking out enemy tanks, despite having proto forge guns, proto swarm launchers, proto REs, proto plasma cannons, and proto grenades.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

It would've been nice to have my Flaylock SP back after 1.3/4 and SL after 1.7 but that would mean that CCP would have to admit wrongdoing.
