I'm genuinely curious. Did a bit of testing today, and it was exciting. The fit goes as follows:
http://www.protofits.com/fittings/shared/725/3228
2x Complex Shield Extenders 2x Complex Kinetic Catalyzers 2x Basic Cardiac Regulators 1x ARN Cloak Field CreoDron Shotgun CAR-9 Burst Scrambler Pistol
First of all, apologies to everyone who had to feel the pain of me testing out my fits (lots of prototype=protostomping). In my defence, I wasn't in a squad.
Anyway, despite all that, I'm curious - does anyone think this is OP? It's certainly not brick-tanking, yet I am using the CreoDron shotgun with a cloak - the combination that has deemed to be the biggest sin of today's FoTM. However, I have died to all manners of things when my aim was off that one time and my 233 shields drop in half a second, and my 156 armour is pulverised in less. Also, no scanning modules = not much visibility. Many times heavies have snuck up on me out of all things (somehow?).
If it isn't, I'm certainly making an advanced fitting of this, because it is fun as hell... (Also confirms the true scout's suspicions that it is brick tanking that is FoTM, not cloak)

Shotgun might be considered OP when paired with the cloak. But since you aren't stacking health and are using mods that help you scout better, I would say no.

The mere fact that you can even ask that question regarding a proto suit with that low EHP suggests that OP no longer means "over powered", but rather something along the lines of "anything that killed me". |

I would assume that Overpowered means something that works too effectively in the current game that makes other roles seemingly unneeded. I have been doing really well in these suits, Getting 18/1 and 20/2 in a few games off the top of my head. I was merely curious to see if it would be enough to be considered OP.

Why does EHP = OP?
OP, to me, is one of a few things: doing another role's jobs better than it can (bricked scout vs assault) while maintaining its own (Bricked scout still has far superior EWAR stats to Assault that assault cannon match), attacking in such a way as to avoid retaliation through range or damage, while sacrificing little otherwise (RR's range + its duplication of AR's other stats, and Shotgun+Cloak's instagib) or sheer unassailability (CalLogi, GalLogi, 1.7 HAVs).
This fitting could certainly be considered OP.
Another excellent example? Scouts in 1.0. Untouchable for no reason other than SP and bugs. 350EHP or less.

I would drop a cardiac regulator for a range amp, personally.
Also, no. I don't think that's an FotM fit.

That second Cardiac Regulator doesn't seem very effective to me. You could trade that out for a range amplifier if you're avoiding use of armor plates for a stronger Med-frame hunter, Or remove the second cardiac regulator and you got yourself an ADV fit :p

Your fitting is good in terms of speed and shields.
But your lack of armor repairers or plates is worrying as your shields might easily get mowed down by a Advance rail or scrambler rifle.
My advise is to use this fit as a hit and run CQC Situation because if multiple enemies spot you while you are visible and you are in range of their guns, you don't really stand chance. |

I do not know if any particular fit with the Scout can be considered OP because it has a counter. You can have all the HP in the world but if the Caldari Scout can see you through cloak, they will beat you if they get the drop. The Brick Tank is better in scenarios where it is caught outside of stealth.
That fit is going to be fast and run a huge distance. It would probably be great in Skirmish running in between the outside points and causing the enemy havoc by pulling their troops back and forth. Hit D sprint to E, run back to E and kill the one dude that comes to take it back. I have done the same thing in a basic Assault suit before: one dude tying up an entire squad.

This is more or less how I like to play with my logi, using scout modules and cloaks. The logi really is a jack of all trades and running this fit is just fun, and even though a scout does the job better than I do, I get more hp and another equipment slot on top tor those stealth revives and reps. |

Unless they come up behind me, I can usually spot the cloak-ripple with fair degrees of accuracy. What I like about the speed fit is that it discourages me from relying on my cloak as much as I have been of late.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback, guys. The reason I don't have many scanning modules is that I'm still in the process of skilling into them. Being the Jack of all trades can be a real SP sink sometimes. But I didn't expect to get some feedback on my actual fit, so that's definitely a plus
Now that's sorted, I'll be working on an advanced fitting... Might have to use enhanced kinetics but should definitely be fun.

I dont think so. My ''Speed demon'' Fit ggoes like this:
3 Complex Kin cats 1 Complex Range AMp or Comp Profile Damp (depending on enemies) 1 Complex Shield Ext 1 Complex Precision ENH
1 Shotgun or MAss Driver 1 SMG 1 Contact Grenades 1 Cloak
Works pretty well considering the 160 shields and 160 armor i have. Sprt speed is around 10.7 if im not mistaken. Due to the CLOAK, i avoid using the Green flasks since i can cloak, regen stamina , and move on. Speed and radar range are a little more crucial at the time of battle.
On your fit. No, its not Op. Looks fun. But you are not using not Dampening modules, nor Radar Range modules. SO i dont really understand why you just didnt go ith Minmatar Scout ,if you were aiming for Speed or Caldari Scout if you were aiming for Shield tank....

Well you have ~200 EHP less than My Minnie Assault but considerably more speed and stamina +cloak Do with that information what you will.
I would hower, drop 1 extender for a precesion enhancer, 1 green for a plate, 1 red for an amplification and see if you can squeeze some equipment in their too, uplinks would probably be preferably, that should proably allow you to make up for the weaknesses with your current fit.
Unless your a Computer Scientist don't tell me how Game Mechanics Work.

Three reds, one green, all complex, is my fitting for speed demon. Sprinting for over a minute with a 10 sec recharge on stamina is great for getting around. And moving at ~10.5 m/s garners plenty of hate. I usually put a complex precision in the highs so you can pick up other scouts because with only around 300 eHp and a shotgun, you have to pick your battles. |

450-600 EHP is hardly Sentinel level HP.

On the note of OP:
2x Complex Shield Extender 2x Enhanced Armour Mods 1x Complex Armour Rep 1x Complex Kinetic Catalyzer
You run faster than you do usually, have about 600EHP, and have plenty of fitting space to fit cloaks and weapon (on another note, has more HP and speed and less fitting costs than full ferroscales in lows).

Personally, I'm of the mind that being able to see everyone on the map and be completely invisible to everyone at the same time is currently more useful than being super fast. Especially considering weapons fire locks you in place no matter how fast you are(insert RAGEGäó here). To that end:
2x Complex Precision Enhancers
2x Complex Dampeners 2x Complex Range Amplifiers

Its a Proto SCOUT suit. SCOUT, not assault.
As a scout,You win when you have a low amount of deaths and yet you managed to effectively disturb enemy advances/equipment/defenses/vehicles,etc.... IMO, the amount of kills is completely dependent on enemy behavior.
Sometimes i get the same kills with my ADV or STD suit than my proto one.
lets say i go 30-9 with a STD one. 30 - 5 with my ADV one , and 30-1 with my proto one. The difference is there. Its profit.
