If you're a scout, yes.
Don't know about other frames. Probably not. I haven't seen enemies from my friend's radar in his medium, but I can see enemies and equipment with my scout friend from across the map. |

Wait a sec. Where did it say they changed it to scouts sharing passive scan with squad? That's news to me. Ppl were asking for that as of this last patch. Is this true?

Passive scans are shared with the squad maybe everyone (not 100% on that though). Active scanners need to be a deployable piece of equipmebt that has a pulse every 10-15 seconds. |

Yeah, if they tank their suit. 2 high slots and 2 low slots MINIMUM to be considered EWAR tanking. That leaves basically nothing for, ya'know, actual tanking.
Also there are no warpoints for passive scans. Why should one piece of equipment that offers points, outperform a 4 slot build that doesn't offer points?
@ OP: everyone shares TacNet scans in a squad. Even the heavy shares his scans with squad mates. The heavy usually never sees anything because of its crummy precision, but that I besides the point. Running a passive scan scout in a squad helps the whole squad.

From what i've seen there is a shared 2-3 second flash on squad radar that then disappears if the squadmate doesn't have line of sight. |

If only scouts could equip active scanners .

Max scan skills here. I have never passively scanned anyone directly behind me. every once in a while I'll have a suspect scan that I can't explain but as a rule of thumb your passive scan area is in front of you.
As for active scanners, just leave them alone. A scout frame can scout the enemies location using their innate scanning abilities and that info is passed trough the squad to anyone using an active scanner. And unless you're looking for damped Gal scouts you don't even need the second person, just a scout with a scanner.
Thr33 is the magic number.

I've seen some issues with passive scanning, mainly delays. Heavies not being on radar (which is impossible cr my double complex percision level 5 caldari) but I have scanned people behind me so I don't think that's a rule. Passive scanning is great. My caldari with assault cbr is the best anti scout scout. |

Scouts are definitely sharing their passive scans, but unlike older builds, lining up on an enemy ISN'T letting you "mark" targets outside scanning range any more.
Not 100% sure, but I don't think non-Scout suits are sharing their scan data either. |
