...and how did everyone get them?
I started DUST the last week of February and I have read about them on this forum but have never learned how to attain one. Searching "BPO" only returns threads between players who already understand them. How do others have them and I don't?
I have starter fits with infinite basic modules but something tells me BPO's are different.
Thanks.

They are suits or weapons that are generally std level that have an infinite number of uses, ie you never have to replenish them.
CCP felt that would cause issues in the long run, so they discontinued their sale.
They were initially sold in merc packs during beta and early on in uprising.

BPO is a term from EVE, in DUST there are only blueprints, these don't run out at all when used unlike normal items you have to buy after every death.
The starter fits have their own BPOs but you can't copy them. Still count as 'BPOs' I'd guess.

Bummer, I was just looking in to how to obtain these. I play the starter medic suit to save up all possible ISK. If those BPO's ever come back I would spend money to get some. |

Once the player market opens up, you will be able to trade for them or buy them ( I think).
They will be expensive.

Use my link and start with recruit assault rifle bpo. At 25k wp you get a submachine gun bpo. At 100k wp you will receive a militia recruit dropsuit. I just gave you 3 bpo's for a little work.
Your welcome. |

Honestly CCP removed them because people were saying that they were somehow OP...but they were std grade and actually a huge selling point for aurum. Personally I think they should have kept them around and just never released anything better than std grade, but my guess is that the people who pushed for them to be gone the hardest are the ones who stockpiled them to resell when the player market comes out. Not saying it isn't smart, I bought 5k charge snipers back when they were still 3k ISK apiece...so yeah. |

Any ideas on when the player market comes out? Unfortunately I didn't know about the recruiter links until after becoming a member on the forum so there was no way of knowing about those for my PSN account. The only way now is to start a whole new account, but I really don't want to do that.

They removed Blueprints because it would cause huge problems in the player market later on, and honestly the blueprints that exist today already will make a big blow to the player market. I love all my blueprint though .

I came too late into the game to acquire the Dragonfly scout. Much regret. |

There are rumors of course but nothing concrete yet. Keep your eyes up for fanfest news or watch the stream (1-3 May).

It wasn't that they were OP, it's more that it would destabilize the player market if people didn't have to buy things. I know that they are all STD or MLT grade, but that would still fvck up the market.
