In my opinion, fighters will be at their highest efficiency when in A2A combat, but I would love to see them have a slightly efficient A2G ability maybe there could be variations, a multirole fighter ( light bomber/ good A2A ability/ mediocre A2G ability, jack of all trades really) and then the assault fighter (Ruthless A2A especially in pilot squadrons, very poor A2G).
I also hope that the fighter will have two modes of flight, or a button which when pressed, locks/unlocks the turret when facing forward as, a fighter with movable front turret is pretty stupid OR have the current dropship aim, 1st person view for a locked turret and third person view for a unlocked turret, I wouldnt mimd the latter but if thats the case I want CCP to give me a damn HUD, I am not asking for a ace combat HUD, something as basic as planetsides 2 aircraft HUD with a altimeter would be all I want!
Also I do not believe fighters will come in till there are AA HAVs (absolutely necessary) and other aircraft (such as my heavy slow gunship).

Thanks, but what I am trying to say is I want a functioning vehicle not a crappy generic POS with a single small turret on the front that fires forward, check out the fighter thread if you got time mate.
