The fact that a Blaster equipped tank can rapidly kill infantry from outside the lock-range of the Swarm Launcher is pants-on-head ********.
And yes, I have been killed in 4 shots by a Large Blaster from 200 meters, which is 25 meters outside the max range for Swarm Launchers.
Also, before anyone complains, Small Missile turrets can now only hit out to 125 meters, so Assault Dropships have to be in Swarm range in order to get kills.

Never has a map been just totally dominated by rail tanks. It's blaster tanks that just steam roll infantry AV making it nearly useless save for getting RE's on its fuel tank. Yet here they are as powerful as ever.

Well you can make a fit that survives the Railgun hit, and then use your Afterburners and fly to the flight ceiling.
Then just wait for your health to regen, activate your Damage Modifiers, and pelt the HAV to death while flying above it (so that it can't fight back).

Why not make the old breach blaster variant the new main gun? It had high base dmg, low RoF, low range ( sort of? ), and was better against vehicles than the current blasters. If CCP really plan on making a high RoF blaster to represent the minmitards than wouldn't it end up more or less the same as the current ones? ( i'd have to check the thread with stats from the SDE but someone commenting on how'd they'd work would be much appriciated ).
Aside from that one way to deal with blasters is making it so they have a variable amount of clearance; meaning a madrugar with blasters can't aim as high/low as a gunlogi with blasters. I remember that CCP did add that at one point but it was bad in that vehicles couldn't aim at infantry even slightly above them. What i'm proposing would hopefully make the madrugar more of a anti-tank tank, since rails on it won't aim as high, and the blasters can't aim above a certain distance. They would destroy against grounded infantry.
I'm not much of a number guy so most of this is just a wishful idea and i wouldn't begin to have an idea which numbers to adjust or what angle limit i'd set the turrents at. But if it worked than if could mean that each turrent has a slightly different feel on each tank.
Edit: want to point out i haven't used a tank since slightly before the angle nerf and tanks couldn't aim above buildings. so a tankers PoV on the idea and how'd they'd change it would be much appreciated |

Rail turrets/ Tanks need one of two things. Damage nerf, or longer charge up time per shot.
Completely stupid and ridiculous range, attack power, accuracy, and speed. Makes running assault drop ships pretty much pointless now.

But of course with the hardener nerf, blasters are effective at AV now too.
That's why I say that large blasters should receive a flat 33% damage nerf. See this for my views on large turret balance.

you asked if tanks are cheaper than dropsuits. Go look at the prices. Its possible a mlt tank can be cheaper but that was not the question. My gunnlogi hull costs 100k. My neutron blaster another hundo. Getfucked. I can make an op, sica for 111k. What's your point? If you can't kill a sica with proto AV you got bigger problems. Are tanks cheaper? No. Can you proto out a tank for cheap? No. Can you buy a hull for less than a completely proto fit dropsuit? Yes.

I understand all the arguments. What I disagree with is propaganda and misinformation. I have had proto AV since chromosome. I have watched the complete overhaul of both sides. Its a farce. Everyone presents info that reinforces their opinion. There are a few of us who understand that if you listen to only one side you get imbalance. If you let CCP make changes based off of their own ignorant ideas we all get screwed. All I ask is people be honest. I know this is New Eden where being I terrible person is celebrated but its where I spend my free time. I want the damn game fixed.

That's just fine, but remember that 20k ISK suit will be just as good if not better at cleaning out tanks. Your decision to waste 150K ISK on a single suit was your choice.

1) Should blasters outrange swarms? Lolno.
2) militia is supposed to be able to take out proto. Thats why free suits can easily kill 200k proto suits.
3) milita/standard swarms are so ridiculously underpowered it isn't funny. Can't even kill a turret installation without reloading.
4) your gunnlogi is quite literally immune to any militia fit. No it is, I can totally prove it with maths and stuff. Yes I can. If you die in a 480k+isk tank (wth 280k isk for a turret??) to a single militia fit dropsuit you are the worst player in the history of dust.
