i am so glad that after 1.7 i didnt drop my 13mil sp i had in tanks back into them cos they royaly suck. the tank combat is rediculous now and railguns are just something else and theres no imagination in the fitting of tanks any more. I used to be an enforcer tank driver which was the veyu this was my fit before 1.7:
1X Active Scanner 1X Active Heat Sink 1X F45 Damage Controll Unit 1X 25% Armour Hardener 3X Light Efficient Armour Repair 1X 180 Nanofibre Poly Plate 1X Scattered Ion Cannon 2X XT Missle Launchers Total Cost: 2.800.000 ISK
Fit after 1.7:
1X Armour hardener 2X Armour rep 1X Scanner 1X Ion Cannon Total Cost: 500.000 isk
Notice a difference? Its rubbish and boring now i'm so glad i dont tank but i do miss my VEYU :(

Yea but theres no imagination in the tank fits anymore its boring and too similar, plus you'll probly end up losing more isk to a militia railgun

Yea i used to love the fact vehicles could rep vehicles i had a python i stacked 4 shield extenders on it, i had a guy from my corp who would drive around the map if i get hurt i will fly above his lav at full speed and he would rep me it was sick

I really miss the teamwork and coordination needed for spidertanking
I used to spider tank all the time but the only bad thing about it was if you turned your turret 180' away from the tank getting healed it would disconnect, but a if done correctly a 1min heavy rep was great lol

hows this a fail post? the fact i got positive feedback makes you look like a d***, also i kept my veyu alive 27 games in a row by being clever. Did you tank before 1.7? or are you one of these people believing there good in these toy tanks?

It made tanking viable and fun... I have to say that while I find some aspects of HAV combat lacking now, or unbalanced I still find it overall to be relatively enjoyable and actually a viable way to play the game now.
Atleast I can afford to run proper HAV, and FYI to those who are all over the tanks must = expensive.....well sure......but they should never be a rich mans playstyle.....also I am unsure how people ever justified having a 2.8 Million ISK tank.....
I could go out on eve and buy a 100m long destroyer with guns the size of, and with 10x the power of my HAV fully kitted out of 3 Million ISK.....and that ship is capable of interstellar travel.
My tank was a beast it had a 30 second invulnerability mode with my 3X armour reps and the hardener, it would destroy supply deps without overheating with my lv5 enforcer skill and my 1X active heat sink (52%) i would destroy militia tanks within 3-5 seconds, the problem now is that theres no reason to skill into tanks, people used to message me like "wow nice tank" or "whats your fit!" its like they would see my tank and they would want to skill into tanks. but now all i have to do is go around in a 77k sica with 2X dam mods (no skill in tanks) and kill every tank they bring out hardener or not dont matter if there skilled in there fits are always the same. This is why i declare tanking to suck.
also the amarr tank should hover and have a big laser weapon that takes 10 secs to charge then fires one big burst, of for infantry have a laser minigun kinda thing lol

Yea i know who you are your a little corp jumping B****, look dont try and act like your somthing cos lets face it your nothing, that fit i listed was my veyu fit and it was one of the best veyu fits out there. i dont care if your gonna hold a grudge against me cos of this tbh i dont care but all i know is if i had my veyu still you wouldnt stand a chance in any vehicle and i can say that knowing. So once again i dont want your thinking your hard remarks on my post please or i will troll you all over the forums thats a promise.

I think the only thing they needed to do was do two very little nerfs, nerf the swarm launcher range/dam (just a little) and the av grenades but that dont matter for the 2 grenades we can only hold now and the assault forge needs less ammo in a clip but there my views but, this didnt matter back then i still survived whilst in a tank even with "OP" AV it was always about skill, being carefull and knowing what your tank could do. Now its just YOLO!!!!!!!!
