^ Picture of the skirmish version of this map
I really don't like this map at all. It's 850 meters from a base spawn location to the farthest objective, vehicles are almost mandatory, and you spend more time moving around the map than you do in combat.
It's also one of the few maps that doesn't actually have any randomized sockets. B is always the same building, C is always underground, etc. The point is, until we get bigger matches there's no reason to have this map in circulation, at least not in its current state.
So here's a rough version of what this map might look like on a smaller scale:
http://imgur.com/mZ9UCj1
It can stay a 4 point map (just remove E) but the king of the hill in the middle from domination just begs for it to be its own objective.
If anything else, the ledge above E needs to be removed. E is much more fun to play as a king of the hill kind of style instead of a who can fly their dropship the highest on the tower. At least put a ladder on the backside to give players a way to climb up on that ledge without a dropship Finally, all of the sockets need to randomize.
Thoughts?

It's a good size.
Meanwhile, manus peak is too small.

I've hated fractured road since the day it was released. It's far too big.
I could list the ways how we Amarr are better than you, but your lesser mind wouldn't comprehend it.

I find Objective B always has good fights around it. The other ones always seem to be more of the sneak in and grab it kind of place. While i like to hang around B, i suppose the rest makes for good map diversity. Although i do like the look of your version too :) |

The map size is good because it discourages zerg tactics, which everyone seems to love.

No, it's a great map. I don't think it's as big as the one with a huge crater and a bridge above it.. Fracture road is good for dropships and LAVs with shock troops. And as someone said before, it has great diversity between every objective, you can (must) attack them in different ways. Even running it doesn't feel too big.
But this game has vehicles, we have to use them, especially in these new big maps. They're not designed to run across on foot.
I do dislike it in domination mode though, it's very uncomfortable. |

It's one of my absolute favorite maps actually, and it's because of how big it is. Everyone can't simply be everywhere at once (part of why Ashlands is my least favorite map, you can get to anywhere from anywhere too easily). Having a very large map like Fractured Road means you actually have to put thought into battle tactics opposed to "everybody rush this objective!"

A scaled down version would be nice but the domination variant is so bad. It just rolls down to who can hold the pipes which shouldnt even exist, the thing in the middle should be a small room with the control panel inside it. |

I do dislike it in domination mode though, it's very uncomfortable. Border Gulch is the map you're referencing, which is my absolute favorite because it is massive just like Fractured Road but also has obstacles to direct movement (for instance if you have an HAV at Bravo and need to get to Alpha, you must travel near either Charlie or Echo, move up to Delta, and then go to Alpha) whereas infantry can directly move up the stairs from Bravo o Alpha. Really, really cool stuff.
And yes I agree Fractured Road in Domination is very frustrating, mostly because of the ledge that overlooks the objective.

Fracture road sucks. whoever came up with domination for it should be fired now.
The pipes and ledge break it. even a ladder wouldn't help. You need staircases on the ledge so it can be assaulted and ladders on every pilon leading down the pipes because that's where the uplinks are. whole thing needs to be removed. Really stupid decision.
Rest of the map I kind of like. Except bravo because you get losers camping on top of everything just like domination which is a stupid design decision with that socket that also needs to be fixed.
The north and southern part of the map need to be higher elevation instead of dropping off like a cliff.

no its not. just use a damm lav. or hunker dow and defend an objective. stop trying to control the map on foot it doesnt work.
thosse pipe pylons and roofs are horribley exposed. and if you cant land on b's roof you really need to practice flying. this is actully one of the better maps because as long as your not on one of the roofs or that tower redline snipers cant target you.
its actully one of the best maps for av as well. with numerous postions you can have a wide field of view from. tankers in corp enjoy it as much as the infantry. with some of our favourite fights being there.
skills are not being applied till 30 secs after spawn fixes before nerfs thank you.

I love Fracture Road.
Though I do feel that C and D are a bit too far out and they almost never see much combat unless one of the teams is redlined. And it's always the case where the west team gets redlined; I've never seen the eastern team get redlined.

Fracture road skirmish can be decent, but yeah the sockets need to change once in a while.
Fracture road dom and whoever thought under the central pylon was the best place to put the objective can BURN BURN BURN IN F*CKING HELL FOR ETERNITY though. You many not be able to tell, but I do not like that map.
