Forgive if this has been asked before, my search function apparently isn't working for me at the moment.
I'm curious as to how (or if) the Gal Assault's disperion bonus affects the shotgun. Obviously it would make it a little less effective in extreme close quarters, but it *should* make it more powerful at (comparatively) longer ranges.
So, about how much more effective range does it get? What about the breach, that supposedly has a tighter spread to begin with?
Anyone actually spec Gal Assault to V to know?

Other than that, I haven't tried it. I'm not insane enough to skill into assault again. Yeah, you'll notice I said things like "more effective at range" and not "longer ranged." I didn't explicitly state it would be because of more pellets hitting a target further out, but that's because I thought it was understood that would be the reason.

That's what we were both saying those, more effective damage further out than normal because more "pellets" are hitting on a target that's further out than would be without the dispersion bonus. Unless the pellets disappear completely 8m out from the weapon, then it's not doing anything.
I kinda wish that a maxed operation and maxed gal assault player could get a shotgun that would operate considerably well (not optimally, mind you) in the 10-15m range. I'd never use it, as I'm all Amarr specced, but I think it would be neat.
