How many people still see reds and blues on the radar spinning to win with their active scanners. Makes me laugh a bit. Think the message should be put out in a mail or something...maybe label it with a player name instead of a ccp announcement.
Still entertaining though .

I more often see other observant players spinning with their guns out to look for that telltale flash of blue and open fire before the Shotgun hits.
If they're alone, it makes for a nice spiral pattern as I move in behind them without a cloak. |

Scanners are utterly useless crap now. Definitely made orbitals more difficult.

They spin because the 'snap shot' time has been extended. This means that turning will allow for a wider scan but the duration is still short enough to discourage full 360s(90-180 if you have high sensitivity). I usually just do a small sweep from left to right when I need an area scanned.

I watched a proto gal logi use 4 scanners to scan in a 360... scan, turn, scan, turn lol. My reaction was   
If I had a shotgun on me I would have run in, decloak, and shot him in the face on his last scan. Sadly I was using a scrambler pistol and smg for the event. |

KB/M lets your do 1080s with a flick of the wrist if your sensitivity is high enough. Even with low sensitivity you can still pull off 360s easily before the scan ends.

I still see a few of them do it, but I could care less these days. I see SCAN ATTEMPT PREVENTED at the top of my screen 99% of the time. So I just wait for them to turn around and then a knife or shotgun to the back of the head.
Always the last person to leave. Always the one cleaning up people's messes.

EXACTLY. That's what it should have been for 1.8. Press fire on a scanner and take a snapshot (like a camera flash). So simple. Yet still not working as advertised.
