What does $9.99 (or $4.99) give me? Which one would you recommend? are they worth the buy?

I'm not terribly familiar with exactly what is in each one because I only spend AUR on boosters. The AUR gear is really best used to experiment with types of gear you're curious about without having to invest a lot of SP into it. It won't give you an advantage right now, but it might help you spend your SP in a way that best suits your play style. |

Absolutely not. The only thing worth buying Aurum for would be the SP boosters. And even that is pretty debatable.
Run free suits in Factional Warfare and use LP points to try out stuff you can't quite skill into yet f you really must not use ISK.
I spent half my ISK on gambling, alcohol and wild women. The rest I wasted.

Just about every year around this time, I buy a kite. It's a waste practically, but I enjoy it. So, there's that.

If you want to spend some money, just get Aurum packs.
You don't have to skill anything beyond 3 to use the Proto variants for a fraction of a cent, while banking ISK (because you're not spending it) for later use.
Or, use it to buy Boosters. I'd suggest the 3 Day Actives and try to hit your Bonus SP cap in that time. If you're more casual, I'd suggest a 30 Day Booster.

Consumable gear, especially for new players is largely a waste. It will be ripped from your hands quickly and without mercy.
If you absolutely must spend money on this game, buy passive boosters and come back when they expire and use your SP.

I literally just LOL'd. At least with the kite there is decidedly less shame involved.

In my opinion, the only thing worth buying now that BPO's are gone are boosters now. A lot of the modules are ones you wouldn't want to use. If you are going to get AUR items, I say you are better off just spending 20 dollars on AUR, getting 2 30 day booster packs and the remaining 15k AUR on whatever else you want to try out. Not as efficient if you were going to use EVERY module in the pack but this way you get to pick and choose what you want.

I would only spend money on non-consumable cosmetics. Of which there are none.
Everything else is and would be a waste of money.
