Why does everyone hate bash this module and skill so much?
Everyone raves about precision enhancement, then complain that by the time scouts get inside their scan circle its too late. To me, range enhancement would be the very obvious answer to this. at level 5 range amplification and one complex range amplifier, you almost double your scanning range. (95%)

E-WAR is really only good on scouts and maybe on logis.
The numbers for the other suits mean it doesn't make sense to level E-WAR up (unless you are primarily using E-WAR for awareness on other mediums/heavies, not on scouts).
All of my scout suits have at least one range amp on them. It's how I hunt ;) |

I don't understand.
My guess would be people are only willing to use one Ewar mod so they don't have to sacrifice tank or other mods. IMO one is useless without the other, for non-scouts anyway. No point in having precision if you don't have range and vice versa. |

thats what i'm saying. 30 is way better than 15 imo, and all you have to do is give up one low slot. |

No it doesn't.
My precision is 50. Skills take it to 45.
You mention starter fits, so I'm assuming I haven't any complex dampener fitted, so no.
You are going to need to show me the maths for this one.

You are going to need to show me the maths for this one. I was talking about the RANGE you pick things up on, not the PRECISION against a target's scan profile.
You can see far enough to see them in time without fitting any modules on your suit.
I know I'm not the only one who run Shotguns on modified Starter Fits.
The reason I mentioned the Starter Fit is because on my character with range amp skills, tweaked Starter Fits are my most-used Medium Frame suits. Also, I wasn't saying the Shotgunner has a Starter Fit, I was saying the player who sees them coming is using that suit without a Range Amp. |

On mediums it's useless as ****.
On scouts it's useful, but people want to Brick TankGäó.
My intentions is to have a fun game for everyone.
If I seem to be biased, I have good hard data to back it up.
