Scouts are flavour of the month. When you see the Nyain San and Nyain Chan higher-ups using scouts you know it's flavour of the month. Scouts used to be a hard suit to do well in and now you see half a team using them. After seeing this many scouts on the field I find myself straying away from the light frame. Running a scout is nothing special anymore. |

Yup. It's boring to see so many scouts in the field.
But that's because they are so effective wif dem clacks n sg so everybody has a fit for that.

You all can keep your FOTM scouts,maybe logis will get a fair shake when it comes to stat adjustments when the time comes because of this.

I have no problems with scouts nor cloaking. I can easily see the cloaks and my frame allows me to snuff them with a Plasma Cannon and blast them, allowing me to survive as my armor reps itself up while leaving their corpse unrevivable. Since, you know, I don't brick tank. I personally prefer to rep or even speed tank instead of bricking.
Most people will find that instead of throwing goddamn Complex Armor Plates in their lows, they'll be able to out move a bricked scout, depending on the frame in use.

I have seen a fair number of Amarr scouts but mostly I see the Gallente and Caldari scouts. I honestly believe that a good scout does not need a cloak to do well. When you give these good scouts a cloak they become that much better because it increases their survivability. |

When I run my ck.0 scout I look like Dr Zoidberg... and it is very expensive, but I like my Ishukone RR and bolt pistol. I have to make ISK by shooting charge and thale's in my ck.0 commando fit or run as a medic in my ck.0 logistic fit. Running proto is expensive but I'm still hanging there with my >100milj. ISK.
Any how, I like FoTM scout.

Why would you run or not run a suit because it's "not special anymore?" Scouts may have been a challenge and not many took that challenge, but they weren't some sort of private club.
A suit's a suit, run it because you like the playstyle.

Second, how are all the scouts of now any different than all the slayer logis of before? With the recent changes to the game, I am having much more fun more than I ever have in Dust.
The last patch was full of triple damage, brick tanked, scanner spamming, pro RR using gal logis, often sitting on triage hives. That **** was way more boring than what we have now. And they were a lot harder to kill than scouts are so quit your bitching.

Sorry, I missed the part where I was complaining about scouts being flavour of the month. I was merely stating that they are.

You're absolutely right. I guess it's something more personal that I can't really explain. You don't see people sending "GG Scout" messages anymore and to be honest I am losing interest in the scout playstyle. If you had asked me in 1.7 if I was scout I would have told you that I would always be a scout. Call me crazy but I liked the scout suit because it was more unique.
