Seriously, just use a heavy suit. You'll completely negate their HP advantage. If they're good, they'll kill you anyway. If they're just scrubs hiding behind shiny suits, you'll kill them in droves.

Tanks weren't really nerfed badly at all:
The same time that the extenders received a reduction in efficiency, proficiency skills were nerfed and damage mods were also cut in half, and AV grenades were limited in number. IF you do the math, 1.8 actually made pure rep tanks even stronger than they were before.
