Since cloaked scouts are out I've been running three complex precision enhancers when I can and two when I can't fit it but yeah, boy what a difference.
3 puts me around 15db so yeah, non scouts with a cloak have no chance and brick tanked scrub scouts don't either. They're real cute though, running around invisible with a huge red chevron over their head.

Don't get it twisted, I'm also a scout ck.0. I've adapted alright.
But yeah, I'm trying to help out some people with their medium and heavy frames. You'd be surprised at what a few precision enhancers would do for you.
One of my favorite suits right now is the Cal Heavy with a complex shield regulator, two complex precisions, a complex reactive plus an HMG. In a closed room hallway you will lose to the armored up heavy but in an open space you can strafe your ass off and when you're hurt, just a few seconds behind cover fixes that. No logi required. |

The problem is that, for my suit anyways, I am blind. No amount of precision or range amps can fix that. And I don't know how to adapt to that situation

It's not everyone's job to tank precision. Logi's have the second best tacnet stats next to scouts.
Perhaps people should fit their logi's to support their team?

I think the most important thing to consider now, which has already been prevalent pre 1.8 but more urgent now, is having a proper squad.
The only suits that can truly solo matches are Scouts, and the best out of the bunch to solo in is the Calamari

Seriously I run two proto precisions, I see everything. Put some skills in passive before you say you're blind in the suit. I've only had one guy get under my passive and I just threw another one on and picked him up. |

If you you use teamwork you don't need an 800 hp logi suit to survive. There's a reason why people have always survived in their scout suits with less than 400hp even before cloaks.
This is a team based game and people should be balancing their squads and fits to complement and support each other. If you have one properly e-war tanked suit in your squad and you stick together you won't get snuck up on unless it's a gal scout. Fact, not fiction.

Whats the point of having half a shotgun shots worth of shields extra when you can instead have the chance to see where your enemies are an kill them before they kill you. Don't let EHP replace lack of situational awareness, the latter will get you farther in this game. With that said, it is tough being a logi, as a scout the logi is always the priority target.
Again, run in a proper squad and being a logi will become that much more enjoyable

You adapt to the cloak, and I adapt to my hunters.
My current trick is to let them think I don't notice them either.
Just by running a complex precision myself, I can track Cal Scouts who don't dampen their suits.
That, or just getting good at noticing the shimmer. With only 1 slot left for shields, I can take a hunter down if I can surprise him.
I love this new battlefield. The Minja is the ultimate hunter of med and heavy frames, but I have to watch out for my own natural enemy now

I mistyped that, it's complex shield recharger. The complex reactive plate gives me 2 a second but I'm relying on basically just my 600 shields, my 1 second shield recharge delay (which is really like 3-4 seconds definitely not 1) and the complex recharge puts me at like 44 shield per second. The complex reactive plate puts me right around 1100 total HP. But like I said, two complex precision enhancers and you see the battlefield so well just make sure you are strafing your ass off against other heavies. |

Precision Enhancers have ALWAYS been good use of a high slot but because of the recent FOTM's and desire for shield tank over any other consideration it's only now, when the overall TTD as increased and the scouts newfound buffness, that players are waking up to them.
So to all that have been screaming about scouts being OP, the counter has always been there. You just had to find it.

Too bad I got only 1 high slot on my cheep dren suit...still better than nothing. I can see cloaked assault or Logy, but scout, no.
The best part is how they feel invisible when they aren't really, make them their own counter. |
