I just got in an argument with a couple of corp mates who are too dimwitted to realize they are playing a ROLE PLAYING SHOOTER and you can't just run around, aiming the trigger at things and expect to be invulnerable without USING YOUR BRAIN instead of your balls. Gallente scout, who will remain unnamed, is a brick tanked scout. He refuses to listen when I say all you have to do is take ONE of those armor plates off, put a profile dampener on, and when he's cloaked nothing in this game can scan him. It was like trying to educate a Christian about science. They just don't have the mental capacity to comprehend it. It's okay though. Because when people start to figure out that the way to counter FOTM brick tanked scouts is to RUN GOOD SCANS, your little WIN BUTTON CLOAK isn't going to be good for anything until you figure out why you're all being so stupid. Hell, I might even skill into Caldari Scout with max precision enhancers just to PROVE EVERYONE WRONG. B.D. Wong AKA Dr. Wu returns to Jurassic Park sequel

At the cost of being a FOTM speedy brick, it will scan all of the other careless scouts who won't bother with dampeners instead. In a PC, against a team with a Gal Logi or Cal Scout or two, using a cloak without dampeners will be stupid. Like bringing a GEK instead of a Duvolle. B.D. The only reason I made the switch from medium to heavy in 1.8 is because they changed Min Logis into something I didn't want to be. It was really hard learning that I couldn't just skill into this suit for the hack speed bonus, then expect to still run around killing things. But it was an important lesson. I really feel like all Assaults could use an extra high and low slot. With Commandos being chosen over Assault because of the damage bonus, Assault just needs that slight edge right now. But I think I could still use them. That reload speed bonus on the Caldari is REALLY good for sniping. Also the Minmatar clip size bonus is DEADLY. I'm an Amarr Sentinel and I'm supposed to be soaking up his combat rifle like it's nothing... and that clip size he had almost got me killed. We were both in full proto.
