If you know me, you will know that I like to mix things up with creating various game modes, small time wager events and competitions within the game mechanics.
Last July; Subdreddit organised an in house propaganda competition aimed at Minmatar faction warfare; as thats who we were fighting for at the time. Not only was it a lot of fun to design and make a poster myself but it was very interesting to see what everyone else come up with and who would win the cash pot ISK prizes.
Here are the submissions that were entered for our corporation competition last year.
Though my experience of the game, I have met many people who are very passionate about the game, their corporation/alliance, the faction they fight for or the role they are playing. Now we all have our hands on all the racial suits I thought it would be a perfect time to start another propaganda competition but instead run it forum wide; for everyone to participate in!
If you are confused to what propaganda is here what it means:
GÇ£Information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view:GÇ¥
and some examples of real world propaganda.
This competition will be limited to images only and can be submitted in any shape or form beit; hand drawn sketches, paintings, computer aided design e.g: photoshop, collage, screen captures, GIFGÇÖs etc.... having the competition limited to images makes it easier for the judges to decide who the winners might be.
The Rules- To enter this competition, please leave a comment with the link to your image in this thread.
- All entries are limited to any images and GIFs only.
- All entries must be submitted before the cut off date - 30th April
- Please keep all entries clean - no foul language etc.
- Any entries found using foul language will be rejected.
Some examples of propaganda topics for this competition could include:- Factional Warfare - Why or why not you should fight for said faction.
- Corporation or Alliance - Bigging up yourself or putting someone down.
- The role/class you play - Why should someone be using that fat suit or not.
- Weaponry - Why should people be using said weapon or why not.
- Public service announcements - Drop uplink or cloak shimmer awareness etc..
Now for the prizes!
So heres the bit you've been waiting for or have probably just scroll straight down to. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners for this competition and those prizes are as follows:
- 1st - Will receive a unused Templar Code and 50% of the Cash Pot plus all the honor and glory associated with it, and a spotlight on Subdreddit.com
- 2nd - 35% of the cash pot.
- 3rd - 15% of the cash pot.
Current Cash Pot Total = 15 Million ISK
There are no entry fees for this but anyone willing to donate ISK towards the cash pot will be appreciated and should be sent to the following character - Cash Prize
** Note :: This character is in the Subdreddit corporation to stop scammers and please do not misspell this character name or your ISK might be sent to the wrong character!
The competition ends on the 1st of May and the judges will then have a week to decide who the winners will be.
I wish all of you the best of luck and I look forward to seeing everyones entries!

Okay so before I try to win....is Cash Prize male or female? This in no way effects which half I would want if I won 50% of him or her, but it does change my shopping list at the hardware store.

I actually really enjoyed it; it was a nice sense of competition outside the realms of the in game mechanics; which is why I really looking forward to see what everyone comes up with.

You could always write something fancy and slap it over a Dust related image or find an existing realworld poroaganda poster and change the wording. Remeber this competitions isnt based on fancy artistary talents; its more about how well your message or point of view is conveyed....

As long as the GÇ£associateGÇ¥ doesnt mind you submitting their work in your name, I have no problem with it. You could even think of it as commissioned work :)
