doesn't matter, the big corps already have limitless isk, they would just retake those districts the second they see them after the reset

In my opinion, yes, but they'll have to plan it out better this time so its fair for all, last time the EU players had the upperhand and it resulted in Cronos grabbing a **** ton of Districts including a whole planet.

don't see why not, not much of a point of doing anything to pc if it's 100% owned already by a single corp.
if that's going to be the entry point then their is no point in making a change at all.
wipe the board give them all a medal, and let's move on. |

Depends on how extensive the changes are really.
If PC requires an EVE presence (flying a warbarge through low sec for example). Then yeah it probably will be reset.
However, PC needs to mean something to EVE first imo... |

PC could mean a little more to DUST too. That may be even more important. If it is basically about just printing isk, then its just a source of proto-inflation. |

PC 2.0 may be different enough that it isn't easily done to transfer ownership to existing district holders. If current district holders are going to be given land in the new system right off the bat, then they should also be opening a new region for us to conquer so that some corps can get into the game without having to content with an opponent who has unlimited isk to burn. |

If its just a matter of 'buy clone packs to take ownership' it won't be that different.
It will hopefully likely involve some sort of 'labor upkeep' that means only being able to hold so many districts that your corp population can 'do the work' to help maintain the districts aside from simple defense and offense. |

when it comes down to it for beginning corps their fate rests on the amount of players they have at their disposal. when you get to the level of the big guys in control right now, it becomes a matter of who has the biggest wallet.

The larger corporations in Dust already have mountains of ISK. The districts would reset and they recapture them all inside of a month and things would return the same way they are right now.

There is no doubt that the current top dogs have a distinct advantage when PC 2.0 comes out. But what do you expect when there is not anyway for an aspiring corporation to prepare for it?
As it stands the guys who control everything also control the only possible avenue for players/corps to get better.
The fact that PC was released without the ability to team deploy in a low stakes setting is embarrassing for CCP. |

I would actually prefer to see an expansion of the number of districts available with a decrease in the ISK production/district and less expensive means to attack said districts.
The idea being that it would make it difficult for a singular group to hold onto that many districts simply because of quantity and thus more accessible to smaller corps trying to get some experience. However the ISK fountain must be controlled and thus with an increase in districts, a decrease in ISK production/district would minimize the inflation rate.
As much as I think the intent of PC has been severely derailed, I'm not really a fan of retroactive steps to "reverse" player actions that may have gone against that original intent. In some ways, having more districts with a lower player count may actually be beneficial in getting people more involved in PC, simply by making it more accessible to everyone. Even so I would not "take away" existing district ownership.

Nah. I don't like the Blue Donut no less than anyone else around here but this wouldn't be the proper deal, imo. While they shouldn't reward them for kicking everyone out of Molden Heath, they shouldn't punish them for being as greedy as they are without actually abusing the system(The system was crap and promoted Blue Donuts. They can only be held to so much responsibility).
I would say open up another region or two and add in the need for capsuleers to move warbarges around with customizable contracts, give us more infrastructure types for PC, customizable installations, and other elements to stimulate the spending of ISK.
It's also to my belief that the need for capsuleers to move around warbarges and clones would mean that an increase in pirating/ransoming will occur in Molden Heath and the other regions. What does that mean? Mega Corporations will probably have to spend a good amount of ISK on extortion fees to keep pirates out of their hair and prevent potential losses. Not only that but it allows EVE to have some purpose in Dust. If you can't take them out on the ground, you can prevent them from coming over or you can hire your own navy enforcers. It won't be as simple as pressing X and waiting for the loading to finish. I'd imagine that General Tso's, the alliance with the best EVE-side force in Molden Heath, would do enough damage to the Big Blue donut to make them lose a good chunk of their wallets.
Also the ISK tax for Dust to EVE transactions should help regulate the ISK flow considering that once the mega corporations are consistently spending ISK, they'll eventually have to establish lower prices which would eventually be better for smaller corporations.
Having other regions allows for new corporations to have access to districts without too much worry of the Blue Donut. If they have a lot more cost to deal with when it comes to handling an extreme amount of districts, they're not going to want to go into other regions until they know for sure they won't be going negative in ISK. If you make the regions very distant, it will definitely end up a harder task to conquer them. No way that someone can control that many regions right now in Dust that would allow for them to safely travel through without having to worry about losing ISK to pirates. The general distance and cost of a contract would probably be high too compared to just moving around one region.
tl;dr: If CCP makes it so that Dust corporations need to make contracts with EVE pilots to transport their warbarges and add in a region or two that has a lot of distance away from each other and Molden Heath, the issue of monopolization would die down. If CCP adds in the Dust to EVE tax as well as other elements of PC for us to spend on, the issue of inflation would die down.
