If KDR does matter, it should be the stat used first for matchmaking.

KDR is literally the only important stat in this game.

In PC its about winning and in pubs its about KDR.

Kill ratio means nothing to me. It's fun when I get a ratio of 1 or 2 at the end of a match, but more often than not it's .1 than 1. I play a logistics, though, so my main concern in a serious match is not to kill the next person but to heal the next team mate I see down or make sure the front line stays in front with uplinks. Any logistic that says otherwise isn't a true logistic.

Dust514 is all about the victory, Cod is a KDR game. What use is KDR when you portray an immortal clone soldier?

I get getting tabs on WP as it is a much more useful stat to keep track on general usefulness, but KDR tells me what? For instance if you rock a 10.5 KDR it can mean anything, you run in good squad, you protostomp, you snipe, you HAV.

Its a useful figure and a damaging one, some peeps have such a small epeen they will go out of their way to improve it over things such as squad/team proper integration, fulling needed roles, anything really with the risk of death.

CCP needs to get it removed, aside from ISK its one of the reasons we have red line snipers/HAV in the first place.

If Dust was a balanced game and was of a similar format of Cod or BF then sure, but in a game where you can farm KDR by simply being a tryhard or a scrub it means nothing, hell you dont even need good skills to improve it, just time and selfishness lol.

To me KDR in this game is not important. I think that your usefullness to your team ,and how good you are at what you do to help your team is what realy matters.

KDR, couldn't care less. Deaths however is a different story. I pay close attention to my earnings and how much ISK iv lost on deaths. Basicly I try not to die more than ten times, and I feel like I didn't spend too much ISK.
