its an FPS, of course it is.
KDR is literally the only important stat in this game.
In PC its about winning and in pubs its about KDR. |

I get getting tabs on WP as it is a much more useful stat to keep track on general usefulness, but KDR tells me what?
KDR tells you how good of a player you are.
all trolling here aside, KDR is less relevant in Dust than other MW shooters due to the use of isk.
It would be better if end of match screens had isk efficiency instead, and the gaming culture developed around that instead. it would also probably help curb pubstomps.
Where ISK Eff. = ISK Destroyed / ISK Lost - where both of these numbers are not effected by revives. Meaning each player has to 'bleed out' for the number to take effect.
That would be much more relevant in this game for sure. EoM scoreboard should also show WP / ISK Lost.
Maybe someday CCP will remove KDR as the most important stat in this game. Until its off EoM leaderboards and the first stat on the character sheet though, its the most important in the context of the game as it stands. Should it be? I dont think so either. |

Agreed, but it still doesnt determine how good you are. What say you to Logis that arent slayers? What say you to the greatest Jihad LAV driver ever that rocks a near 1.0 +- due some you win some you lose but god damn I need to kill myself everytime because I cant trust the car to move just a bit further under its own power? What say you to the guy in milita gear that fights an epic battle against the proto odds but for every 2 steps forward, who must take 1 back? KDR meaning anything in this game is nothing short of a joke but I respect your opinion.
uh.... I think we're saying the same thing? You may want to read my post again.
A JLAV driver that is successful should have a decent isk efficiency, even though his KDR would be terrible.
A guy in MLT gear would also have a terrible KDR vs proto users but would have a decent isk efficiency if he killed even 1-2 of them. |
