They used to send Dropships skyrocketing or meteoring to the ground. Since ADS pilots now feel the need to be floating 6 inches from your face I think that the crazy side effect from Flaylock explosions should be re-introduced.

Flaylocks should give crazy ragdoll effects on direct hits to live targets.
They should do 10x crazy ragdoll effects to dead targets. |

+1. I don't know why this effect was removed in the first place (likely from whiny dropship pilots complaining that they couldn't harass lone targets easy enough), but it was the only reason to carry a flaylock. |

If that was true the MD would do crazy things to it...Interesting thing to note about the MD, way back when it's damage was buffed against LAVs and Dropships.

Not really. With the Mass Driver, the projectile is only propelled by the initial firing. Flaylock rounds are small missiles that have continuous propulsion until they detonate or reach their max range. |

Fine, make the flaylock do crazy things to dropships but I demand the following balance concessions:
1) Mass drivers must cause huge blinding clouds of smoke where ever they hit. 2) Plasma weapons cause terrain hit to melt into little puddles of slag. 3) Laser weapons should actually be able to cut things (buildings, people, vehicles, etc...) in half 4) Tanks should run over everyting they hit (instant kill) 5) LAV shoudl run over any smaller item they hit but blow up if they hit it with too much force (depending on the mass of the item hit) 6) Grenades and other explosives cause craters to form dependent on their blast radius and damage dealt 7) Nova Knives can sometimes become lodged in the people they strike. 8) Weapons (all of them) occasionally backfire and explode in the hands of the users blowing off 1-2 limbs (as appropriate) 9) My merc should be given the ability to hip thrust so that I might better enjoy myself after killing you. 10) Laser weapons should be able to overide their overheat mechanism allowing them to deal more damge while also continually damaging thier user while fired. 11) All dropship movement conform to newtonian physics 12) All scouts movement conform to newtonian phyiscs 13) A button for curbstomping enemy corpses (for eliminating downed clones) 14) redacted: too over the top 15) We all stop asking for stupid stuff that makes the game less fun for the gaming community and we all start only looking out for the greater good (what can I say, I'm an idealist).

That rational is odd considering the MD itself has a greater damage with direct impact. Therefore in the game the direct impact itself with the MD would have a greater effect over the flayock .....But we are talking about hypothetical situations, generally the way the MD is designed I imagine the force of a direct impact has something to do with the ammunition involved.
