I relieved DJINN Kujo of a Thale's with a failfit forge gun tonight. I was happy.

The reality is this is going to be the point that reigns next time anyone considers a contract with Negative-Feedback.

Everything ends, but I expected Spero to pick better allies. My alliance's corps got their value out of the arrangement, as did anyone else who had been there a while.
The corps I feel bad for are the guys who were recently placed.

DJINN Marauder wrote:I won't say that we're doing this for the community. However I will say that having 100% will be something nice to show off. Not too mention it will probably be the first and last time in the history of dust PC for it to ever happen. So why not go for it? Not doing it just because you'll hurt some peoples feelings or some ppl may get butthurt about you "killing the game" is dumb IMO.
Points for honesty, but if you're here in five years, you won't be remembered as the "guys who got 100% of MH" (especially when MH is one of many regions), but you will be remembered as the guys nobody is willing to work with.
There's no hurt feelings here. As I said, everything ends. But how it ends says a lot about who has what doors open in the sequel.
But then again, you'll have a mountain of cash, so who needs friends?

bigolenuts: PFC corps will be defending their land, though obviously, we aren't going up against great odds.
We don't expect a refund, though Kane Spero may consider that the ISK in doing so will cost him less than the business reputation he will suffer otherwise. It's not entitlement. The only corps who really lost out are the ones who were placed in the last week or two, and may not have gotten much money back or even battles out of their placement cost.

zzZaXxx: It has nothing to do with more districts. More districts doesn't mean nobody can control it all. The game needs more players. The larger the playerbase, the more factions you end up with. And the more factions you end up with, the more juggling it takes to maintain control.

zzZaXxx: Not trying to win your vote, just telling you how it is. Adding districts won't change the balance. Nyain San defending 40 matches on the same timer with a 127-man corp should've taught you that. There's fundamental game design issues that ensure 100% capture is an inevitability, no matter how many districts there are. (Funny enough, district locking actually delayed this inevitability for a while.) Especially since the current mechanics offer the current victors so much of an advantage, that no new party would even have a chance.
There aren't enough players for a mass attack to actually overwhelm the capabilities of even a small corp to organize a defense. The game mechanics offer no reason to limit the amount of space you control. Even if you have more than you can defend, and lose some, you can immediately take it back. And further, since many of the "top players" just jump over to whichever corp/alliance is currently winning, the advantage of top tier players will always lie with the current victor as well.
More districts just means more ISK bleeding into the same pockets. Which means even more protostomping in pubs.

Oh, of course, zzZaXxx, those fundamental mechanics need to change and they CAN be changed. But that's not a quick fix. And they're already working on it, but DNS taking 100% of Molden Heath won't change those plans or make them happen faster. And opening up more districts won't help, until those fundamental mechanics are working right. And if those fundamental mechanics work right, you will get more players. Travel doesn't matter as long as clone packs are still a thing. And if ISK can be used on either one. Nyain San sends X ISK to "Nyain San 2" and claims all the districts in the region. Done.
The tl;dr is: AE's endeavor does not help anyone, don't buy their story.
