Officers and Soldiers of high rank have long been rewarded The Templar Sword by their service to the Empress. In battle it has been used to slice through enemy forces and to finish the Minmatar scums. Upon the battlefield it reflects the rays of the sun in its golden glory, blinding foes with its charge and rallying troops to their captain.
The Amarr Templar Sword would be carried by two hands and would be treated like a heavy sword(so slashes would be slow). The sword can be charged and do devastating damage to armor. The blade is golden and is enameled with Amarrian script.
Well, time to go Commando. Fill the Ranks at 703rd.

The blade is golden and is enameled with Amarrian script. GREAT IDEA!!!! Except it doesnt make sense for it to be wielded by big, lumbersome heavies that run at a snail's pace. Amarr Assault makes sense.
The weapon is a Heavy Sword(carried by two hands) but not necessarily belongs to the Heavy Weapon slot.

You know what, I think I am going to buy that EVE: Source book. I need my lore knowledge cemented in my brain.
I don't know anything of EVE lore, just that it would be awesome. It's just my story writing skills that make it sound that way.
