Brick tanking just makes you a slow scout. A good scout can get good games with 400 ehp, or less.

The Gallente scout is really good at being Gallente getting close, doing a crap ton of damage, and repairing extremely fast while maintaining fast speed.

Barring the brick tanked scout which really a suicide bomber to me, using an AR with a magsec I have found great sucess. Even without a cloak I can take some targets down retreat and recover in a real time frame for an FPS. This is with an AR not a shotgun, although the shotgun scout is good I feel the AR scout is a bit more rewarding and less risky.

So to my fellow Gallente give this a try, also stop brick tanking you are going to get us nerfed over a tactic that doesn't even work well.

If you can see these pricks coming, if cloaks didnt provide def/offensive advantages thst were undeserved then there would be 0 problems.

Cloaks are unnecessary, offer low risk, high reward for **** gameplay and tactics and have no drawbacks or penalties. They are easy mode, a crutch, a turn on and kill button.

My Galscout alt was having a ton of fun running the only AR I liked until 1.8... the Breach. His BAR + Flay + Sleek fittings are soul-crushingly useless now. :^(

I'm using the breach AR and ion pistol atm.

I have been trying to make the ion pistol work for me but it is difficult, how do you make it work.

Use it as a finisher.
It doesn't work otherwise. It simply doesn't. You need to use it to augment your primary weapon. It's quicker and more satisfying to get a last couple of shots off with an ion pistol to finish a target than it is to reload your primary.

Admittedly I may be forcing myself to use it like this by using a lacklustre primary as well, but I'm sticking with it.
