So, ambush is playable again. but every time we get a good fight going, nice ebb and flow, some vehicle turns up and spoils it. I like vehicles, but if you use one in ambush these days.... You are a tryhard.
Ambush is a fun Mode on small maps. Vehicles have no place here. Vehicles are a strategic tool, best suited for objective mods. So CCP, go the extra step. Free us from the tryhards. You dropped it to two, now man up and finish the job.

Not enough people are going AV to actually keep vehicles from becoming annoying in ambush.

NO. remove infantry from ambush, they dont belong here. We allowed them to have a temporary home in our gamemode and what do they do? limit our vehicle spawn. It's time to reclaim our land from these ants. They are meant to be stepped on. They serve no other purpose.

Isn't Judge a dropship adict? I'm confused.
I do 100% agree thought. As a tank driver I sometimes want to grind some ambush meat as infantry but I'm totally forced to call my tank in (which really sucks)
Edit: that was the last time I played 3 months ago, idk how it is now.

Ambush should be small maps for infantry only.
OMS slightly larger maps with restricted vehicle use but plenty of cover for infantry
Skirmish and Domination - free for all. |

I don't often step into ambush matches but when I do I make my decision on what to deploy based on what I see from the enemy team.
I prefer doing Commando work on foot if possible, its fun and enjoyable.
But the moment I see and enemy HAV drop all bets are off and its not mercy to the enemy team. I cannot tell you how many times even the slightest AV presence could remove lesser tankers form the field, those Tryhards that Judge speaks of, but instead those tryhards are allowed to run rampant.....
Until I go and deal with them. After which point nobody should complain if I go to town on the other team.
Still if Infantry and vehicle game modes are separated, then vehicles need their own game mode with proportional ISK payouts, while ambush needs their payouts to remain static and low as half the risk is gone.

They could split Ambush and OMS again and make the regular Ambush infantry-only. They would need to reduce the map sizes though.
Some Ambush maps you have to duck hunt for like 5 minutes before finding anyone.

but when I do I run a triple hardend Gunnlogi ion Canon and collect the tears.
Proud Gunlogi pilot and forge gunner since August 2012.
I fought and bled for the State on Caldari prime.

Instead of taking out vehicles from ambushes I would do something better, something that doesn't cost any amazing dev to do. You just take domination and ambushes modes, you copy them, but without vehicles! And TADAAAAAAA! If you want to play with vehicles you go to the normal mode, and if you want a good game not spoiled by 5 tanker (talking about domi here) , you go in the alternative mode :) |

ah yes but I do prefer bacon infused variety as everyone knows my Gunnlogi is fulled by bacon infused tears.
