Introduction
As of tonight, I have activated another section on my website: Market Data. For now, it only contains 2 pages, Historical Graphs and The TryHardinatorGäó, but over time I hope to start including other views and pages.
The source of this, is a daily data-set from CCP Games®, which contains the number of items sold in the New Eden marketplaces, including DUST514® material, but excluding Aurum gear, and Factional gear. The data is available to everyone, from CCP Games®, and is with a 1-day resolution and delay; due to this, the data presented will not change within a calendar-day.
Historical Graphs (categories)
This is a first view to the market-data, showing what has been sold, and in what quantities throughout New Eden for a date-range. It is limited to showing the counts on a per-category basis, such as GÇ£Sniper RiflesGÇ¥ or GÇ£Logistical SuitsGÇ¥ at this point, due to the chosen implementation. Depending on requests, we might augment this in some fashion later on. The overall categories available are:
- Weapons - Light
- Weapons - Heavy
- Weapons - Sidearms
- Dropsuits (excl. basic dropsuits)
- Modules (incl. some further breakdown)
- Vehicles
The presented graphs will cover the last 240 days (for now), and hovering over any point will present more information for that item-category, at that date.
The TryHardinatorGäó
The TryHardinatorGäó is a tool available to those wanting a fitting based on what the tryhards are using! It compiles statistics on what is sold for each slot-type (counting), ranking these using complex algorithms (high-to-low sorting), and presenting a fitting for the most-sold non-militia infantry material. 2nd half of that page will show the source-data as a set of pie-charts, for everyone to review. These are arranged for each slot-type, and one for dropsuits, in an easy-to-read manner. Clicking on a Dropsuit-type in the dropsuit-pie will tell The TryHardinatorGäóto use that dropsuit for the fitting, though for now the remaining pie-charts are inactive. The TryHardinatorGäó, due to the tools used, may be rather slow due to the very large number of data-points it deals with. It may also not display optimally on mobile devices in general, and will tend to be fairly broken on mobile devices.

Tryhardinator will probably be useful as Hell.
Also, isn't this better off in the technology section? I believe something like this could become very big in the future when there's a player market o,o. Probably will get a lot of hits and what not.

Looks good, but you may want to separate vehicle and dropsuit modules as that graph is hard to read(if you can).
Also, there are a few names that are being replaced by their tags - check the Scanning Modules and Vehicles sections.
A vehicle version of the The TryHardinatorGäó would be interesting. |

A vehicle version of the The TryHardinatorGäó would be interesting. I'm using tags to pick up modules for the historical graphs, and some modules share tags between infantry and vehicles, without having a dedicated one (I think Shield Extenders - cannot tell from tags whether for Infantry or Vehicle, IIRC)
There are no names being replaced by tags - there are tags being replaced by names XD I'm just lazy, and not added translations for all tags...
A vehicle-tryhardinator could be done yes ... when I'm less lazy :p

I was looking at http://dust.thang.dk/market_historycategory.php and wondered if I could see the value of the total combined sales of dropsuits.
I think it would make a decent datapoint for activity of the Dust 514 - since you can probably assume that the # of deaths per battle doesn't change much over time. And also that the proportion of free suits used is also constant.
Therefore more suit purchases = more activity.
