This is supposed to be a record to help those who are not sure where to spend there sp after the patch and inform them of what they should have been told in the patch notes but ccp kept out.
Maps
Domintaion: We have removed cru's and turrets from a lot of domination maps. All turrets for the most part are now in new positions which make them impossible to use. These new locations now make them useless.
Vehicals
-Rail tank: We have reduced the Rail turret distance to 300m. thats right they are now useless. Don't worry you can still pown as long as the enemy tank doesn't have an overdrive injector. Never mind i've just been informed almost every blaster tank fits one, oh snap.
-Rail still has false firing glitch where it pretends to fire until you die.
-Note: a missle turret can kill you and you can't shoot at it if over 300 meters. Dear CCP please read what a rail gun is in real life, because i feel you are missing the mark . I vote tge rail should be called the "300 meter might actually fire this time cannon"
-FIX: Run a blaster tank or tote a forge gun.
Missle Tank: Range seems increased.
Blaster Tank: The most OP thing in the game now got stronger as rails got reduced. Shred down Assault drop ships at 150 meter's away, Kill infantry, and now if a rail tank shoots at you. Activate over drive he'll be in range in 1.5 seconds or less of the all might blaster.
LAV's: Good new's to our heavies that roll in LAV's and pop out to mow down targets, till hurt then run away. This still works, however with all the cloaked scouts on the field targets will be harder to find. on the plus side there will be less rail tanks to kill you.
Suits
Everyone knew that scouts were going to be crazy in 1.8 and they are.
I do have a few issue with some of the astectics of the suites.
-Caldari why is the visor so cool on meduim suits? then the scout looks like an amarr head? And the heavy a fish bowl stolen from gallente manufactured rejects?
-Minmatar what ape did you use as your inspration for the heavy? And on his back, why dose what look like metal? bend like that on his spine? Please go back to the drawing board.
Heavies: Ranking on Effective hit points 1. Gallente 2. Amarr If using a HMG. Minmatar have good speed. For me speed and heavy don't mix. but if your a keyboard strafing ***** you may like Minmatar . Caldari are nice especially since laser weapons which would do the most damage to shield this suit has a resistance to them. So use it if solo running with out a logi. try peaking in and out of cover with a rail rifle until a scout shotguns you in your back.
-Issues: hit detection on scouts half your bullets will miss every time.
Medium Suits: skip them run a heavy or a scout.
-Only good suit for medium that is viable anymore is Amarr with a scrambler or a laser
-Most useless medium suits: Biggest reduction is the minmatar lodgi now just sucks no armor healing, no speed hacking. second Caldari assault were you can fit more armor then shield, no really i thought Caldari were shield tankers WTF happened to the shield..Don't worry you have a bonus to one gun. hope you like the rail. whats that you don't like your reload bonus? ammo would be more useful?
Scouts: New go to suite. 1. Gallente fit some scan precision to find other scouts, load on armor to take a hit, cloak to hide, remotes for lols on anything, and a shot gun. 2. caldari shield and combat rifle 3. Minmatar replaces crappy minmatar logistics.
Cloaks in EVE give a speed penalty and you can't reactivate it after just having it on. Please CCP let me fit an infantry cloak on all of my ships when the market comes out. (thanks for keeping the two games so closely paired)
Equipment
Scanners: scrap useless, unless you have proto prior and are sad about the wasted SP. I guess if board while hiding in your scout suit you could still scan.
Fix: use a vehicle with a scanner.
Uplinks: There needed, but have a ridiculous spawn time! which promotes more spawn camping for scouts to place remotes on or blaster tanks to sit on. Great Job CCP!!! Oh for spawn campers make sure to place your cross hairs above the spawn beacon as they will turn red a second prior to the person spawning so you will have a heads up.
Guns
Rail not as horrible Nerf as was thought still powerful make sure to use on a heavy suite only.
Basic Combat rifle you will have to reload if any has more than 500 hp
Mag sec smg may be better then SMG
Laser my god the gun works again you can actually use it.
Mass driver more nasty
Overall scrambler is still nasty but harder to use on armor.
Damage Mod
Huge change to damage and complex is only 1 percent more damage now? the cost is almost twice as much? hum, i wonder which to use.
Grenades
I like the reduction because of spamming them off of nano hives. however why reduce AV grenades? Flux **** weak Caldari tanks. Were AV grenades really a problem? how many people would it take to kill a madruger with AV nades? 5-6 players and this is with out a hardener on only his 300 self heal a second. Note this is pretending the tanker isn't killing any of them and they all threw there grenades at the same time and the tank didn't drive off. yep not going to happen often... Blaster tanks more op, sigh.
Recommendation make the swarm a side arm.
*Over all Minmatar and Caldari have been gimped in 1.8 as always CCP loves Gallente. The Most bad ass heavy and scout which are the only two suits you should be using in this patch. Dear ccp please give every Gallente soldier 5 light drones that cloak flying around them as well, and one free orbital per match. That should even it out in 1.9 |

Minmatar has not been totally gimped.
Logi lost its natural rep, so did the assault.
Logi base hack speed is 1.2, that's only .05 slower than maxed out 1.7 min logi. Not a big deal.
Assault gets extended mag for projectile weapons. Essentially the same bonus it had in 1.7 for the sidearm, but now it applies to the CR as well. I personally take this as a buff as I run all Minmatar suits.
Scout still gets the knives, but now gets hacking speed from the 1.7 min logi, and a cloak. This makes it the perfect ninja hacker suit as I can hack an objective in under 4 sec and then disappear, and OHK knife whoever runs in to hack my freshly taken objective.
I am here to ask you one question, and one question only: EXPLOSIONS?

Is it just me or does everyone tune out anything a rail tanker says? I mean you guys heard the complaints....still sitting in the red line. Watched RDVs and countless vehicles destroyed as they were being delivered....still sitting in the red line. Cost real tankers money. Cost dropship pilots money. Still sitting back. Pew pew pew.
Now it's no fun for you in your rail tank because you have to fight actual tankers.
I would sympathize, but it would be sarcastic and fake to the point where even I would find it distasteful.
We can pickle that.

Sometimes CCP loves Gallente, then they love Caldari and I know they currently hate Amarr. But just wait when the Laser Rifle gets OP again. Suddenly everybody will cry how CCP is full pro Amarr.
Seems more like CCP is trying to make a balanced game. At least that's what I get from this.

Missiles are still far inferior to rail tanks. Blasters cannot compete with rails either, not after the hardener Nerf. Don't complain about the tanks, rail is still king.
Minnie logi has 1.2 hack speed, that's lvl 4 logi from 1.7....for FREE!
Assaults are bad if you're a Caldari/Gallente...Amarr and Minnie have their use.
You knew the scanner was going to get nerfed, people got way too spoiled. Now that it's much closer to balance (probably a little UP now) people say it's useless.
CCP loves only Gal suits, they kind of hate Gal weapons. |

I feel any of the other scouts are better then Amarr. just by reading the stats. Truth be told i only have 4 accounts and my amarr charater is heavy and assualt so i didn't have enough sp to try scout. I really think amarr should have the better heavy's.

Yes by all means keep it up. I hope everyone starts to really hate the scanners so that I'd end up as the only one using one

The laser is in a far better place than it was and in the right hands , it is a beast .
