So finally we don't have to deal with more than 2 tanks in an ambush match anymore, thats great!
But what about other vehicles like LAVs and drop ships? As soon as 2 tanks have been deployed, nobody can call in an LAV to get around on the huge maps. That's a problem with the way most of the maps are designed.
Just today I was in an ambush OMS match where both teams were sitting around doing nothing waiting for the timer to tick down. Why? Because nobody wanted to suicide by crossing those 200m of open, flat ground to reach the enemy blob and start some shooting. Crossing the distance in a fast vehicle was not an option because there were 2 tanks already deployed at all times. The tanks were either busy killing each other or unsuccessfully chasing infantry that was hiding from them. In short, it was absolutely boring.
CCP, surely it can't be that hard to limit the number of deployable vehicles in a match by type? Like this: 5 vehicles max in an ambush match, of which only 2 can be tanks. Please do it. It's such a minor thing, but it's one of those things that are really annoying and could be fixed easily. |

I like the change, it requires more thought than charge into the other team with lots of tanks. Options like sending out scouts to drop up links to close the distance or falling back and letting the enemy advance and actually using strategies rather than non ' stop ta-ta-ta of blasters equals more fun to me, not less.
Because, that's why.

Maybe you misunderstood me. My point was not about having more tanks in ambush. My point was about allowing LAVs and possibly drop ships in addition to the 2 tanks already on the field. |
