They fix the slot layout for Standard Gal yet?
Also, I agree. Upgrade your "Eyes" and "Situational Awareness" to Level 5 and you will do fine. I been killed a TON of times using Cloak by people who were actually paying attention. I have also ruthlessly slaughtered countless people who were oblivious to everything around them. |

Agreed... I (and those others I know of) tend to first go for the stray sheep or stationary groups who are focused on a particular area (REs). Groups on the move are more likely to survive against a single cloaked scout. A coordinated scout squad may be a different matter though.

A coordinated scout squad has always beaten normal squads.

Coordinated scout squads were always tough, but with the cloaks its just downright BRUTAL. 4 people just suddenly show up out of nowhere and drop you with magsecs or ACRs?

Well, that is true because you are talking about a highly mobile group that can keep up with each other and re-position themselves according to enemy movements. I loved the shotty scout back in beta but was not impressed with the changes that came later. I went to the min assault for Uprising because it seemed a good mix of speed and combat ability but its gimped fitting and the advent of scanners put a lid on that.

Gallente Logisitic with Active Scanners... Are Amazing? only 4 seconds they spend dark... If you got two? even better
Recruit Scouts into your squad... Or run with a Scout... Nothing better for seeing another scout like another scout..
Precision Enhancement Skill lvl 5 and Complex Precision Enhancers are very cheap fitting... And very effective.. Specially when a Cloaked individuals think they can't be seen, they have no weapon out... they have to switch, and you now have the element of surprise on YOUR side.
Scanning is still king... And very viable... It's just changed.. And has always been the #1 disadvantage to any scout.

Be a Scout. There's no reason not to unless you're a Heavy. Medium suits are pointless unless your goal is to rep/spam hives or uplinks.

While I think Cloaks might be borderline OP, some people are downright oblivious sometimes.
I can routinely run through huge groups of enemies without them noticing a damn thing. Sometimes I just run the same course over and over, passing through the same group of enemies 2-3 times before they catch on. On the other hand, there are some people that I can't walk 20m behind them without them noticing me.
Because of this, I get the feeling that it isn't so much of a problem of cloaks being too good, but more of a problem of people just not being aware enough. I can see any cloaked people unless they are standing still and at least 15m away or in the dark. They aren't invisible, they just have good camouflage.

- Stick with squad - They hate explosives. Mass drivers, grenades and such will slow them down - They cannot take on more than 3 people hence stick with your squad - Outsmarting them is a great counter to their ploy

Scout + cloak = blue glowy Scout.
I like the cool semi-transparent-ish skin, but it's not really INVISIBLE, is it?
Still have yet to have any difficulty fighting a cloaked Scout that actually stems from said Scout being cloaked. I've had a couple of deaths to cloaking RE Scouts when they've mined objectives in a manner which exploits a glitch and makes the REs not appear where they were placed. I've had a few deaths where I've gotten into a straight Shotgun duel with a Scout who was cloaked until they realised I knew where they were and also had a Shotgun. I've had a few deaths where I've seen a cloaked Scout, been moving in, but been seen on my approach and caught with a longer-ranged weapon than my own. I've had a few deaths when Scouts (not sure if cloaked or not) have managed to legitimately sneak up behind me, and if they did use the cloak, it certainly didn't hide them from my eyes, because I was looking the wrong way until too late.
I haven't experienced any situation where a cloaked Scout has done something while in my field of view which they couldn't have done just as well without the cloak. |

They are QQing about nerfing the scout because there old style of solo running around is not working verse players with characters build for that.
Stick with squad and every scout will QQ (and they will mostly fight each other |
