He found a fair way to balance Assaults AND logis.
As much as i like Kagehoshis' idea...players would flock back to logis because of the equipment capacity.
Assaults how would you like to have more balanced slots? Mk.0 -4/4 Gk.0-3/5 Ck.0-5/3 Ak.0-Whatever amarr logis is
He takes into consideration logis surviveability as well as assault flexibility. It's crazy insane as to how brilliant his suggestion is!

It's better for CCP and the economy aswell... When someone can fit more proto modules on a ADV and Proto suit... they often will and loose more isk... Which is what we need..
The Assault suits struggle to fit almost any combination you would goto... It's always a struggle... and the NUMBER ONE annoying and limiting factor of them.

Give Assault suits good module slots, but limited equipment. Give Logis lots of equipment slots, but limited modules.
Make sure PG and CPU on all suits - Light, Medium, Heavy, and all the specialist variations - is sufficient (when skilled) to handle a full moderately resource-intensive fitting with no empty slots at the tier of the suit. Militia might be an exception, but a Standard suit should be able to fit a full complement of Standard modules, fill all weapon slots with Standard weapons, and fit Standard modules into every high and low slot. Protosuits should be able to do the same for Proto modules. In both cases, there should be certain particularly expensive modules which you can't stack at the same tier as your suit without compromising on something else. Cloaks should be hard for non-Scouts to fit, and non-Cloak equipment should be hard for Scouts to fit more than one of. |

I've never understood why a logi has more slots than an assault.

This would ensure logi extinction. Assaults would kill logis (which is fine). But logis wouldn't have the surviveability to make the costs of EQ worth it.
Unless logis were given major buffs to speed and tank to compensate. And we're talking heavy level tank and scout level speed.

how about buffing the logistics to the assault hit point values and lowering their modules to 1 lower then the assaults and buffing the assaults CPU/PG to the logistics level.
Amarr Assault 3/4, Amarr Logistics 2/4. Caldari Assault 4/3 Caldari Logistics 4/2 Gallente Assault 3/4 Gallente Logistics 2/4 Minmatar Assault 5/2 Minmatar Logistics 3/3
Minmatar medium frames new Hit point values Shield: 150 Armor: 150
Shield recharge rate increased by 10% over the caldari's current value.
-1 on the logistics getting their innate repair bonus back.
Instead of Free armor reps a 3rd suit bonus can be added to all suits so for the logistics they can get a 5% bonus to armor repair modules like so;
Faction Basic medium suit: 5% bonus to armor repair module effectiveness per level
Faction Logistics suit: X% Bonus [Equipment Fitting] per level Faction Logistics suit: Y% bonus [Equipment] per level
I don't even know why I bother.

Logi actually gets less slots by CCP calculations if you look at Amarr logi vs all the other logis it gets 2 less slots because it has a sidearm. Assaults have one less slot than logi but has the sidearm.
That being said I would have no problem with assaults getting the same slot layout as their logi counterparts. Personally I like just about every suit I am skilled into now and 2 out of 5 of those are assault suits. But whenever the community wants to argue for something that buffs my fits I won't argue unless it'll totally make Dust suck worse,
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

This is a semi good idea (see underlined)...unless you use min logi. Rep Tool=instant target + weakest suit= a crap ton of deaths. And a slight buff at the cost of 2 slots,really? And ANOTHER buff to assaults after butt raeping logis? I love it when nonlogis suggest slot changes,the results are always ridiculously unbalanced and funny.

EXACTLY
Assaults don't care though,they just want logis to die in a hole.
Who cares if it takes more SP/ISK/dedication to be a logi. Who cares if logis are the first one always targeted.
Apparently 0 assaults do as long as they get that 1 extra slot. And now they want a second eq slot,it's ridiculous!
