So since people obviously can't see at all, I've decide to make a list that will help all those who need it.
1. Fit precision enhancers
2. Don't run all the time (u want to be able to see your aiming thing turn red)
3. Look behind you (this is how real war is and people complain that people sneak behind them....why don't u move your head!!!)
Follow these steps and you will rarely be killed by cloakers.
Cloaking is not OP guys c'mon... dust makes us better gamers (remember no aim assist...I was boss at other games after that).
So adapt or die (or leave I guess)

You can't move your head, your neck vertebrae are fused. You have to spin like a ballerina. |

Yeah its not really the cloaks it's just a hangover from the absurd amount of scanner spam that went on in 1.7 |

I die by invisible shotgun scouts 90% of the time now and I feel like I spin in circles with how much I look behind me.
I seriously can't play this game for more than one match at a time because every single match I've played in 1.8 has been the same. Every single time I spawn I run maybe 10 seconds and die again by a shotgun scout with a cloak.
Then I tried it myself and all of a sudden I'm getting kills and the game is fun again. I hate it.
My support logi, commando, sentinel...it doesn't matter what I run because they always know where I am and what direction I'm facing.

Step 1: Play The Hidden and Dystopia until every patch of blurry air causes you to empty an entire magazine in rage
Step 2: Laugh at the scouts who think standing still while cloaked will save them from your hail of bullets

I wonder if maybe a sensor penalty while cloaked or even just with a cloak fitted would help things, a sharp drop in scan precision or range that must be made up for with mods that take away from your tanking abilities
Battlefield 2142 had a cloak very similar to Dust's implementation, but activating it would make your entire screen go blurry making it very hard to identify anybody that wasn't 10 feet away from you
Also, if you were hit with an EMP grenade, activating your cloaking device would instead make you flicker between extremely bright solid magenta and cyan until the effects wore off  |
