It is not meant as a primary AV weapon, it is meant as a finish of or a softening for a greater weapon.
Why not just put cloaks on ADSs, Forgeguns on scouts and make heavies only be able to use sidearms?

Also has anyone noticed a delay in grenade throwing? My L buttons have been getting fidgety lately, but it seems I can't throw Lai Dais in rapid succession anymore.

I feel gimpy with 2 grenades of any variety. I'm having a lot of fun with 1.8 but this I just don't understand.

Who said anything about a primary AV weapon? With the previous AV nerf, they're not "softening" much of anything. Now reduced to only 2 they're almost a waste of space in the dropsuit PG/CPU slot pool.

It's kinda sad when an AV weapon meant for finishing off a target can't actually finish off a target, but since when were AV grenades a primary weapon?
They've never been able to kill a tanker without standing over a Nanohive and spamming 5-6, and required an idiot tanker to pull off. Also, 3 Lai Dai Packed AV Grenades still wouldn't solo an HAV, so your argument is invalid.\

I don't think CCP went the right way about 'nade spam anyway. I'm of the opinion that increasing cluster cost would have been more useful at restricting spam.
That said though, AV nades can go to hell.

Yup, I'm signing this... they were one of the best ways (in my opinion) to scare off or blow up the Fed-EX Heavy Mobiles that zipped around the battlefield, and now all we've got left is hoping we can drop an RE in time... or the sheer luck that an allied tank or installation opens fire.

This was the first thing I said when I read the dev blogs.
It's fine if you want to reduce nade spam.. Bt AV grenades were already not very effective but two? Why bother fitting them at all?!
Two av nades can't even take out an LAV! Heavies in lavs are even more dangerous than before.. I shouldn't have to sit on a nano hive every time I want to chase them off. |

Yea AV nade should be the primary VS MLT LAVS. As it stood it they could survive 3 advance packed AV nades.
CCP you better nail 1.8, as it stands 1.7 is a total disaster.

o yeah i didn't mention i use 2 complex shield harders and 1 heavy booster it equals out to 26k ehp..so what is 2 weak ass AV grenades do to my build NOTHING! Only thing that makes me roll away right now is alot of swarms since my CCP buffed the efficiency of them making it so when they hit my shields even with hardners on i can't heal the way shield was intented to.

This nerf, plus the bug where if you zoom and strafe at the same time you'll stop shooting and chuck out a random AV grenade is just infuriating. I removed grenades from several setups already.

People still stand in their nanos and lob AVs at ya so I cant se what the problem is, why would you need the third one if you get the nade you just threw right back in your pocket(or belt)?
