IMO Ambush needs to be your Free/STD gear gamemode. Where people go to make isk, and the new players can experiment and learn a bit. The way it currently is: One team is the drones, and one is the mercs. People say there isn't PVE and they want drones, I say this game mode exists in Ambush.

I wish I could agree. Lots of players say they dont' go proto during ambush, but that's a lie. Where do you think sayings like proto stomped came from. Most player that I get killed by have some type of proto gear or weapon when I'm killed.

You misunderstood,

Team A has a squad of Proto suits
Team B notices said squad and decide it's better just to bend over and get a firm grip on their ankles.

I've been running into ambushes with Nyain, Q syncing protos on the other side. Do you really think you have a chance with random blues running ??? Suits? The only time people run proto in ambush is when they are squaded up and it is a one sided meat grinder.

Don't give me the EVE lore response as ambush, in fact half of the game does not make sense from an EVE lore standpoint. So why not just allow an infantry only gamemode?

I have been in and out of ambush on my main for well over a year now and I can tell you certain people run ambush constantly. People like DUNA and his tank spam crew - well forget those scrubs. Then you have people like TAZ666 and his boys that have been in ambush from day one pretty much and those guys tend to use proto solo or otherwise. Not always mind you and I DO have some respect for those guys. Then you have guys like MHN188 (Some numbers, I cant remember his name) who generally runs solo and is also generally always in advanced or proto no matter who he is against, so yea its not ALWAYS like that.
