You can get like 600+M ISK for one and that makes a huge difference, especially when starting out. Here are some pointers. Do all the training stuff at the beginning you can. Focus on one thing, one weapon system, one defensive system. Join Brave Newbies or EVE University. Trust no one. Implants allow you to learn skills faster and you can get them through doing PVE missions. Don't be afraid to go for it and lose a ship. Brave is a big thing right now and operate in all kinds of space. Bigger is not better. You may be able to fly a BS but like in DUST without the support skills they pop just as easy as frigates. http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/the-interbus-ship-identification-system/ <- ISIS is very helpful and if you get mastery three in the racial rookie ship it goes a long way towards the mastery of the rest of the racial ships and vastly improves the entire ship. There are skills on those lists that you may miss if you don't follow the mastery levels. There is also a certificate system that is very helpful. If you think DUST514 is difficult then you haven't seen anything yet, be ready to be frustraded and even raging to the point of quitting if don't find a good corp. EVE is very beautiful so don't forget to stop and look at it from time to time. Fly to the EVE gate, in a cloaky ship. It is worth the time. Read about the game and listen to podcasts like Down the Pipe, Crossing Zebras, Podside, Capstable, Fly Reckless and watch Youtube videos, http://www.youtube.com/user/delonewolf is good. Lastly, you get three characters but only one gets SP unless you use plex to allow a second or third to train at the same time. Planetary Interaction is passive income and with a month worth of training on each toon you can make about 30M a week in a highsec system. Don't be afraid to train the PI skills on all to take advantage of passive income. Good luck pilot and fly it like you stole it. Its officially classed as both a space ***** and a giant metal coffin. Sit in it you may, use any modules you may not. In eve, biggest doesnt mean best by any means. Frigs pop BSs frequently.
