In an attempt to weaken brick scouts here is my idea.
Add profile damping negatives to armor plates. 5 to 15% per a lvl would lessen the amount of brick tanked scouts because they are no longer hidden from everyone but caldari scouts. |

But shield tanked cal/min scouts get off scott free? I hate a filthy fake FOTM scouts as much as the next guy, but it has to be balanced.

Reduction of the CPU/PG bonus to the cloak!!!! A good weapon + lot of HP + cloak is to much. 2 of the 3 is ok.1 of the 3 is good. Reducing the CPU/PG bonus you let the player can decide which one he wants more. |

Plates need a more substantial stacking penalty to the point where if you have the armor=a heavy, you move like said heavy.
Of course we'd need to also rework the ferroscales so they would be the goto choice for scoutsGǪ

It is really not that difficult to take out a brick tanked scout. In fact if you look into it I believe you will find a full proto full complex tank will make you slower in a scout suit than the equivalent HP Assault suit. In addition to this the utility of the scout is affected by brick tanking as they then don't use cardiac regulators or kincats nor would they be able to use dampeners. Great QQ thread though, I'm sure there are tonnes of scouts reading this and just drinking in the tears.
Drop suits right at this point in time are the most balanced they have ever been, with comparable movement rates for comparable armor amounts, slot layouts and this whole complaint seems to be more the thought that it takes more than 2 rounds to take down a scout. Welcome to Dust, the scouts have it no easier than the assaults or logis this build. For instance in addition to having no room on a brick tank for damps, bottles and the like you also have no room for a damage modifier. So enjoy, they may be hard to take down, but they have a hard time taking you down too. Short of using stealth to kill a scout will not win a head to head firefight without some help.

Min scout can only max out at 343 shield hardly a considerable amount of shielding to be considered a "brick tank". Second I have the Min and the Gal scouts not the caldari one as I never really have an issue with them. Cal scout seems to have the squishy feature built into the suit but yea I can still see your point.

Well sorry for being a armoured based suit and running around with 350 armour If ya cant kill a armoured scout as a scout you need more training.

We even said this a LONG time ago. Long before we even came to Uprising.
Add a profile penalty to Complex shields and Complex plates. I would say to add the penalty only to Complex HP boosters, because thats what enables people to tank. This really is an easy solution to the Brick Scout problem. The brick scouts are only bad, NOT because they are bricks, but because you can't see them coming.
But cloak is working so well, it would be a shame to change it.
So give the scouts a huge penalty for mounting complex armor plates AND complex shield extenders. Increasing their scan profile by 25% per plate, so that they stand out nice and hard, like the heavies and assaults.
If you can see them coming, then the playing field, won't be so bad. |

Assaults should be beefier (Amarr and Gallente) or drop some major DPS (Caldari and Minmatar). I agree that the medium suits are becoming almost nigh obsolete, and I imagine that some VERY serious changes will occur with the CF and scouts once they see the numbers coming back. All the medium suits need, imo, is a bit more EHP to make them worthwhile. Although I'm really in favor of a more realistic calculation of how much plates slow a suit down (ie. heavy suits already weigh a ton, so adding plates wouldn't slow them that much, whereas scouts weigh very little, and have little push power, thus resulting in HUGE drops in speed should they choose to stack plates. Equation would look like P/(W+M)=R where P:suit power rating , w : Weight of suit , M : weight of module.) If this were to be used, there could be additional low modules that would increase base movement rate by reducing the overall armor HP on a percentage basis.
Give DUST514 some direction.
