So yesterday I was playing and joined a squad (using squad finder) that quickly got into a skirmish match.
So the match was terrible, I was continuously getting caught being outnumbered and gunned down. Well about halfway through the match, I clue in that all other members of my squad (all 5 of them) were snipping and not even trying for objectives...
The match ends and it was not even close (of course we got totally dominated), and then all these snipers start calling out their KD/R for the game like they won, laughing that they never were even shot at, and feeling like they actually accomplished something.... These guys were playing a completely different game than I was...
I have a question for all you sniper squads... Why do you play DUST, would you not rather play duck hunt? And if you play DUST, why do you play any mode except for ambush?
Anyways, snipers really went down in my esteem after squading up with and hearing these guys.

They are not profesional snipers.
Solo pro sniper becomes very effective.
Fireteam of 1 pro sniper and another pro sniper with different line of sight as spotter is very dangerious.
Kane Spero is pushing for sniper rifle ranges to be cut in half and more than likely dismissing any and all comments made not to touch what is now a perfect class.
If anyone thinks that a professional marksman has no place in PC, then they haven't seen me on the field aggrovating a whole squad removing them from battlefield into the redline to suicide trying to kill me while I laugh.

Maybe they're really focused on sniping. They are called the sniper squad for a reason.
I mean theres a whole lot of squads out there that should be doing the main objectives,
If anything the sniper squad should cover frontliners.
Although i have nothing to say regarding their attitudes.. |

sounds like you were unlucky with your squad, 1 or two snipers in a squad can in the right circumstances dominate a map if they work with the rest of their squad effectively by creating opportunities, not all of us are like that, my own squad mates prefer it when I snipe because I know what I'm doing. sometimes people will sniper squad for fun but it never lasts for long as it's just not effective and most people find sniping boring but your squad seems to have been kdr farming
