When in scout, I die pretty easily... Cloak can be seen, quite easily if you pay attention and only punishes players who don't. Prototype suits are capable of fitting good stuff, but not much more than a proto assault suit (my proto assault can fit two proto weapons and all proto modules) and is still has over 300 more hp than my scout. Gallente scouts have had a lot of hp for quite some time (I know people who have run 800-1000 hp scout suits) and this isn't out of the ordinary. Sorry that you ran into one and couldn't kill him, but when I would play my assault suit since 1.8, my KDR in it has been a lot higher than in my scout suit. Maybe you should try it and see... for yourself.

Maybe you should try it and see... for yourself. It's normal that you die easily as long as you're playing a scout. And you mustn't play with 800-1000HP in this case. But I think you also noticed that even with an assault suit you get kill really fast so it makes the assault class even more useless if a scout do the same job. Also, I have all skill lvl 5 in PG/CPU stuffs, in sidearms and light weapons etc.. and I'd like to know wich assault class you're playing because it's absolutely impossible to fit 2 proto weapons and only proto modules. This guy compared both stuffs and it shows how imbalanced those suits are right now: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=151393&find=unreadThanks for replying ^^
Minmatar Assault. I might have one enhanced module, but not by being limited by cpu/pg but a choice.
Core Upgrade/Electronics/Engineering all at 5, weapon is isk and not loyalty points.
ETA: Gallente Scouts != all scouts, and like I said, this fit has been around for several patches (1.5? When they decreased movement speed penalties on armor plates). This fit isn't new and hasn't been a problem until now... maybe you need better tactics? Not sure, but you need to specify better than just "scouts need a Nerf" as nerfing the race won't fix the whole problem.

CLONE117 wrote:id say all thats needed to balance out the cloak a bit further is to give mlt scouts the ability to fit the std one and in turn give all players a type of motion sensor system. so they have eyes in the back of their head. or at least know there behind them.
note:they will not show on sensor if standing still or moving really slow.
Yea... It is called a scanner or your eyes... yes, it can be hard to spot a scout standing still, but QUITE easy to see if they are moving.
ETA: your suit also has a scanner with a scan radius... maybe spec into precision enhancement and run precision enhancers?

Getting owned constantly but then again its Minmatar scout so it just sucks in general. Its insane CPU means you have to put eWar mods on but it hasn't got a hope in hell of competing with the other scouts - who can brick and eWar.
but what do I know, I'm a ******* idiot.
I had an alt with proto Min scout... yea... horrible suit... native racial is trash (well, it now has hacking, which is good, but it just makes the suit weak outside of Skirm/PC)... iunno, that suit kept me far far away from scouts until this patch.
Also, I am horrible with shotguns as they never seem to hit whatever is in front of me and I have no idea how people seem to one/two shot kill me with them. Dedication, I guess.

Odigos Ellinas wrote:The main problem with the scouts is the CPU/PG bonus to the cloak that allows them to get to much HP modules. They have equal HP to assaults.
lol...
which scout? Gallente? They had that BEFORE 1.8. Amarr? They are the heaviest and slowest scout, and are better served by utilizing their racial. Minmatar has horrible hp... and Caldari can have close to assault level shields, but no where near assault level armor.
Please read previous posts before making your own, this post has been thoroughly torn apart on the basis that this has nothing to do with the scouts as a whole, but one particular type of scout, which has ALWAYS been this way... it just now seems like a problem when scouts can stealth, and now have some way to survive.
