Pre 1.7, I had what, about 5900 or 6100 shield and 37% passive resists at all times.
Now I'll have 5300 shield and 40% active resists 6/13 of the time at most with 0% resists more than 7/13 of the time.
Even though missiles and shield tanks sucked in 1.6, we only needed the changes in 1.7 done to shield boosters, missiles, and shield tank acceleration to make shield tanks and missiles competitive.

People are focusing on EHP and DPS far too much. The flow of the game is much more complicated than DPS vs EHP. This build is looking to be a massive step in the right direction for the bigger picture.

That sounds like "Waves of opportunity" to me It's not if performance during the "wave of opportunity" is equal to or sub-par to that before 1.7. Also, did infantry cry that they couldn't solo tanks before 1.7, even though tank performance was higher than it currently is now?
Either give me back my 60% resistance or screw "waves of opportunity" and go back to how it was before.

Tanks aren't hard to kill with a weapon designed to kill them. On that note AV is still drastically nerfed from what it was in 1.6 and will remain only a minor threat at most.

Vehicles were better when we had options
So far we have lost skills while it takes more SP to skill up now, we have lost mods and slots on vehicles which means more of the same fits about and less variety, we have lost vehicles, we have lost turrets
When i look at EVE any ship i have can be fitted in a variety of ways and once DUST was the same with vehicles

Infantry has to be able to do more to a tank than make the pilot laugh. Seriously, we was just knocking dirt loose with our swarms and buffing the hull with forge guns. As long as your not derpa derpa with your tank it is still a force. Get over yourself Mortishai Belmont.

oh noes the crutch is slowly getting balanced, who would guess that would happen. finally CCP sorts out all the tank scrubs
beside that AV got nerfed accross the board in 1.7 and tank costs alot less isk now. yeah 1.6 is totally "better" in that regard. |

What part of "1.6 may have been better" do you not understand?
1.6 includes everything that ever was 1.6, so stop saying "but AV is ineffective now," that has nothing to do with the topic here

It would be nice if the turret operation skill tree was set up just like the gunnery skill tree in eve online.

We didn't ask for this, we didn't ask for any drastic changes. All we wanted was some slight tweaking and rendering fixed.

Anyway, it doesnt matter now we're all on the same page. I actually think the idea of 1.6 but with buffs to shield and missile tanks isnt a bad one. Will never happen tho. |

The people who whine about multiple players working together to take them out are stupid and no one should pay any attention to them.
I lost a Dropship one time as a guy who was using a Militia Forge just kept shooting at me near the "three tower" entrance to the Research Lab. He couldn't get through my shield, so I engaged him, had him almost dead, and promptly died in one shot to a Wyrkomi Breach Forge his Corpmate fired from inside the main lab structure, where he couldn't have gotten a shot without his friend acting as bait
Did that **** me off? Not even slightly. I love it when people coordinate like that and work to outsmart me. That Breach Forge wouldn't have been able to take me out if I wasn't saving my Hardener for a bigger threat, which I didn't know was there thanks to their good tactics.
Yes, I've stopped using multiple Hardeners. Post hotfix I don't use Hardeners at all anymore, and simply use an Enhanced Heavy Shield Extender and Damage Mod. I actually took a fit like that into a PC match yesterday and got several kills, and even evaded getting taken out by a few railtanks.
The bottom line is that no one likes to get soloed by something they can't see or fight back against, like getting insta-gibbed by invisible scouts, or shredded with 5 rounds from a pre-1.8 Rail Rifle, or losing your well-fit Madrugar or Gunnlogi to a Sica with two Damage Mods, a Railgun, and no tank whatsoever.

I think you just like crying. I find tanking is even better since the hardener nerfs. My ion cannon shreds tanks super fast. Then I can get back to killing infantry.
