Not sure what a neef is.
400 meters would have been better. They need a DAMAGE or ROF nerf, particularly, damage mods need a serious looking at.

I really hope this is more of a temporary fix, rather than a long term fix. Tanks and vehicles in general are missing any variety to them, which is something that requires more content in the future.
If not, delete dust 514, it means this game is worthless.

I think it's a nice band-aide, but the biggest problem is redline abuse, not so much range.
I've said the before and I'll keep saying it because I think it's the best answer to all redline abuse: remove the redline completely and replace it with bubble shields and/or bunkers that can't be shot into or out of to allow safe spawning, regrouping, and vehicle deployment.
With this change, it's balanced for a tank to be at a longer range because it's vulnerable to sneaky tanks or infantry or an ADS
As for actual changes to railguns, I think a slight RoF and perhaps a heat buildup nerf would be fine and a significant increase in fitting cost to lower their defensive capabilities (currently, they're the easiest turret to fit)

Depends on the user... But 600 to 300 is a bit too much... 350 and an option to add another 50m with level 5 proficiency would make more sense |

meh definitely saw a lot more blaster tanks, and a lot less people capable of dealing with them...so....fixed?
as usual tankers get what they want and infantry get murdered by it. |

Both Fiend and Vulpes got it right and I completely agree with them.
Range was never the problem, and nerfing their range was simply covering up the fact that the redline is a broken mechanic. Railguns still have incredible damage and DPS; for a long ranged weapon, you can't have both high alpha and high DPS. And because it's a ranged weapon, you should NOT have high DPS. Also they need a large increase to heat cost, because currently overheating is rarely a factor in vehicle combat and especially now when hardeners are nerfed, every vehicle will go down before the railgun overheats.
I also read someone else's post saying that 300m is still a fair range for camping near the redline on certain maps. But now you actually have to risk your own rail tank and come out to the middle of the battlefield just to take out any remaining redline rail tanks that still aren't risking anything.
